Customer service lady was very mean. Manager did not apologize for her..... Not nice workers at all. It is not a place you want to join. Go into Nazareth and join Planet Fitness.... now that is the best gym around!!

My wife and I are extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the exercise areas as well as the locker rooms. It has lots of exercise equipment to choose from and the fitness instructors are very professional and caring. When you're in the place you feel like you're in a facility that just opened, and it's almost unbelievable that it's been open for 20 years. All the equipment looks new and operates as if it is new. The locker rooms are large and have been professionally designed. Kudos to the owners and management for doing such an excellent job of setting up and maintaining the place and keeping it looking fresh and welcoming. It's hard to believe we can take advantage of all this for such a low membership fee.
I had a less than happy experience here. All I needed was a pair of ballet shoes, and according to the website and one lady there, it wouldn't be a problem. It was a problem. I left the facility having been told that I didn't know what kind of shoes I needed when I had told them straight out. They were rude as well. We didn't leave with shoes. And I do not want to go back there...
Twin Rivers Dance Academy is a wonderful school with great aspirations for all of its students and an environment that is nurturing and friendly to all. Miss Kathy's classes are fun, but also provide the serious work-ethic for those who are looking to further their career as professional ballet dancers. She is very welcoming and respectful and her classes provide good technique, but I would say the most important element Twin Rivers Dance Academy has to offer is its ability to cause "the dancer to love the dance". I have been a student for five years now after coming from a previous school and in all my years of dancing I have matured and learned more from TRDA in these five years than I ever had in all my other years at the previous school. This school has given me a joy for the arts that will live on long after I graduate from there. My sister also attends TRDA and she was recently accepted into one of the most prestigious dance companies in the world-- the Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis School this past year. Miss Kathy is excellent at assessing each student's needs and capabilities and for her we are eternally thankful. She has helped further my sister's career. Highly recommend this school.
Twin Rivers Dance and especially teacher/owner, Kathryn Stout, is a gem in our community. My daughter danced there from age 7 through high school (she graduated this past spring) and has nothing but the utmost respect for "Miss Kathy", for her teaching and the ballet program. Kathy Stout is a mentor to my daughter and, through her teaching helped my daughter to learn more about herself, learn how to strive to be her best, and learn how to express herself through the beauty of dance. I am a teacher and have watched Kathy teach her classes over the years. She is able to teach both the very young beginner as well as train pre-professional dancers to embark on a career in dance. Kathy does not foster competition among her dancers. Because Kathy respects her students, they respect her and each other. It is a very healthy environment for learning. She is clear in her direction, giving her students room to experiment, make mistakes and grow. She offers praise but is not effusive and her constructive comments are offered calmly and clearly. She checks that her students understand what she has just explained. Her students feel free to ask questions and clearly want to do their best for her. It is clear she loves what she does and obvious she cares for each of her pupils, no matter what their innate dancing ability may be. Her students clearly enjoy their classes, no matter what the age. These are all hallmarks of a wonderful, professional teacher. The end of year dance recital is just lovely. A full scale ballet that involves the littlest dancers through adult learners is the first half and a collage of ballet, tap, modern, and jazz numbers comprise the second half. It is professional through and through with many parent volunteers gladly helping to make the performances a success by helping backstage or with ticket sales. They volunteer because they believe in the organization.I can't say enough good about Twin Rivers and its dedication to the enjoyment of dance, professionalism and respect.
My daughter has been dancing with Miss Kathy at TRDA for almost 15 years. She started there as a 3 year old, because her older friend already danced there. We never looked elsewhere and she has chosen to continue each year, now dancing on point and giving up almost all other activities that she had when younger. She has helped with those tiny 3 year olds for a few years now, (and loves them!)and has decided to pursue Early Childhood Education when she goes on to college. All of this is thanks to Miss Kathy, who has shown patience, professionalism, and understanding all with a gentle demeanor and kind smile. The beautifully choreographed recital each June is a result of her hard work, and many, many hours of rehearsal that she holds with the classes (many of those in addition to the already scheduled classes.) Modern Dance has given my daughter a chance to learn from another great teacher, Miss Devon, and see a less classical side of dance too. Anyone looking to find their children a dance school, new friends, and a safe, kind place to spend many hours of their childhood need look no further than Twin Rivers Dance Academy.
If you are looking for a dance school then you should come to Twin Rivers Dance Academy!!! Ms Kathy and Ms Meghan (Ms Devon too) do an amazing job working with the children. My girls absolutely love ballet days, they learn so much about dance in a structured, nurturing and caring environment. Ms Kathy goes above and beyond to pull together the end of the year recital, not your typical dance studio recital, she takes the girls dance routines and turns then all into a beautifully choreographed play. She is not only amazing for the end result, but she helps the girls to fall in love and to care about ballet almost as much as she does!
I have danced and been affiliated with Twin Rivers for going on 12 years now. I can honestly say that Kathyrn Stout is a top notch teacher whose students have gone on to professional companies all over the country. I highly recommend her and the school to anyone serious about the art of dance.
My daughter has been studying at Twin Rivers for 5 years, beginning with Creative Movement and continuing with Ballet, Tap, and Lyrical. She loves it! The small class sizes ensure she gets individual attention, and I continue to be impressed with how far she and her classmates, most of whom have been dancing at Twin Rivers as long as she has, have progressed each time I see them perform. I am particularly amazed by the skills she has developed during her 4 years of tap lessons - both in terms of footwork and her ability to hear and replicate rhythms. I would recommend this studio to anyone who values a solid grounding in technique in all dance forms, and the individual attention and camaraderie of small classes.
My wallet fell off my jeans inside the locker, didn't realize until a got to my car, immediately I went back but my wallet was gone. No one in the front desk did anything to help me find my wallet.
