Overall

I went to this LA nails and Spa couple times. but I am was not happy with their services because many reasons. Staffs are not friendly, they all speak their own language. Sometimes customers need to finish quick so we can go, but they just sit their take their time to talk together and massage.

I made another chance to go back last weekend. I am really happy with my services. I had Tracy (new staff) at LA Nails Spa. She is very professional, talk friendly, and great Gel Mani-Pedi. I am definitely have new manicurist. She only work weekend (Saturday and Sunday). That's fine with me, my weekend is free time anyway.

Overall

I have gone here before to get my eyebrows done and they have done an okay job. This last time I went there they were rude. And, they servely burned my face leaving it bright red and peeling!!! I will never return there again. Not worth the money, certainly not the pain I'm in, nor the aggravation!!!

Well, they did accommodate 5 g...

Well, they did accommodate 5 girls. They did not in anyway make this little $60.00, thirty minute experience any fun for the girls. The desk staff was indifferent and the nail staff spoke no english and they were not friendly to the girls. I would not recommend this salon when there are so many others to choose from.

Terrible customer service they did not know about French Bikini and how much ill be the cost. They just gave me a range 25 - 70$ .... too expensive.

Its dirty, the employees are r...

Its dirty, the employees are rude, & they don't understand English! 3 weeks ago, I went to get acrylics. I thought they did a good job until 8 days later, they started falling off. I waited until the last nail was left to go and get them fixed. (last week) I went to make an apt. & I told the receptionist that it wouldn't be right for me to pay to get my nails done again bc they started to fall off before the first fill was due. She said that wouldn't be a problem. I made the apt for today to get my nails redone.

I walked in, the manager (Kalvin) came out & I asked him to make sure that I wasn't going to get charged for this, with a surprised look on his face & asked what I was talking about. I calmly told him the whole convo between his receptionist & i. He went off on a rampage & yelled at my grandmother and me. I called my mother to tell her what just happened and she wanted to talk to him and he said "NO! I DON WANT TALK TO YOU MOTHER! You pay or I no do you nails!" There were so many other things he yelled at us. Like "Do you understand English?!?!?! WTF! I'm fluent in 3 languages and your the freakin' Asian here! " Then,it turned into a screaming match between him and his employees.

Bad service

I went here with my grandmother after her surgery for a relaxation day. We both had horrible experiences we made appointments ahead of time and went and her pedicure was done way before mine. also the person who did mine answered his cell 3 times!!! talk about taking a break. They also spoke english and had a stylist sitting next to them lounging in a pedicure chair speakin in vietnamese the WHOLE time. Overall i was extremley dissatisfied with the experience!! They also rushed through my grandmothers pedi. She hadnt had a pedi in a while and was willing to pay more for the service for a quality pedi. We now make our appointments for a beauty day other places. They also were yelling at a receptionist for a simple misunderstanding and It caused quite a commotion. They have no buisness ethics!

Change in Management

I have been going to LA Salon off of Freemansburg for many years. They have always been very good to me. As I was reading the previous review, I noticed that she mentioned this incident happened at the Palmer Park Mall location. As far as I understand it, the LA Salon off of Freemansburg and the LA Salon in the Palmer Park Mall have separate owners now, meaning they are completely different businesses. Why one of them have not changed their name, I am not sure. BUT, I would like to defend the Freemansburg location by saying that management there is very respectable and friendly. I have recommended the salon to family and friends and they all are now happy and satisfied customers of the LA Salon at the Freemansburg location.

The Customer is Always Wrong

I went into the LA Salon and Day Spa at the Palmer Park Mall for a half leg wax. The price on their brochure says $30 and up. Prior to getting the service I asked the receptionist and the woman (Sandy) who was to wax my legs ""how much would it be?"" I even lifted my pant leg so that she could give me an estimate. She said ""it would be $30"". The receptionist heard Sandy tell me it would be $30. Sandy kept trying to get me to get my eyebrows waxed also. I repeatedly told her ""no thanks, I'm here for my legs"". After the wax was complete and I arrived at the receptionist to pay, the price jumped to $50. I complained to the manager (Odil Koorie) who was very rude and had no justification for the price jump except to say ""it depends on the amount of wax used"". Even though Sandy dropped wax all over the table, I had to pay for it. At no time during the wax did Sandy tell me the price would no longer be $30. During the 5 min exchange between myself and Odil, Sandy did not defend her position (she actually ran away), nor did the receptionist speak up. I ended up having to pay the $50. As Odil walked away she mumbled under her breath and believe me, she didn't say ""have a nice day"". The management is rude and they are right...the customer is wrong!
