Reviews are an excellent way to guage on how good or bad a business is. At the same time everyone needs to keep in mind that as with anything on the internet you need to take things that are said as half-truths. I am not affiliated with this business by any means. Only as an extremely satisfied customer. I have done a lot of research on Yellowpages.com and have noticed some trends. See the negative reviews against many of the tattoo shops are NOT coming from customers they are coming from the "So-Called-artists" from other shops that are sitting on their asses in there dumpy little shops waiting for an 18yo. to walk in and spend $20. Or they come from the guy that wants to go in and try bidding for a low ball price and when they dont get it; well they get online and make false statements such as the previous post about Boomer. So like anything in life, when your on top it's real easy to have jealous, less qualified, clowns take cheap shots at you. It comes with being the best. Anybody that knows anything about tattoo'n in Toledo knows that Boomer's work speaks for itself. He has a portfolio that anyone can view that will blow your mind. There is a reason why Boomer is typically booked 7-10 days out on appointments. The guy's stuff rock's. I personally didnt have a week to wait so I came back the next day and had another artist, Miller, do my first tat from Body Design and and it's kick awesome. I've since been back and have an amazing portrait that was done by Boomer. All of Body Design's artist are extremely talented or they wouldnt be working there. I challenge you to stop by Body Design, check out their work, the shop, meet the artists and tell me it isnt the best Toledo has to offer.
After thorough research of tattoo studios and artists in Northwest Ohio, got my first tattoo from Brian "Monk" Taylor. Monk answered all of my questions, took the time to find out what I wanted, and after looking at his great portfolio, I am completely comfortable with my choice. Everyone I have talked to about tattoos in the area say Monk is the best. This tattoo will be with me for the rest of my life, and I am not about to trust my skin to just anyone. People talk about price, but getting it done right by a skillful artist is always cheaper than getting the tattoo lasered off by a doctor. In my research, I found out that Infinite Art has been voted the best tattoo studio the last five years running ( 2003-2008) by the City Paper. Infinite Art sets the standard by which every tattoo shop is judged. The artists are incredible. "Monk's" tattoos have been featured in numerous tattoo magazines for years and has even had the honor of being the featured artist in Tattoo Magazine with his picture being the cover. You can never go wrong going to Monk. After Monk does my tattoo, I will visits with other artists at IA. Norwalk does fantastic bio-mechanical tattoos and Woody does great old school tattoos. If you are going to get a sleeve, these are the artists you can put your trust into. Simply put, they are the best, year after year after year.
I've been going to Infinite Art for some time now, getting the silliest tattoos known to man. Way back when though, I could remember when I was a misguided up and comming youth in the mean streets of Toledo, drifting from one dice game to the next, searching for answers. One day, one man, nay, one great, sexy, made out of sugar man scooped me off the streets pushed me against at wall, looked me in the eyes and said, "Believe." Then this mystery man began to kiss me deep, I thought I was going to melt. But then, the man vanished, and I vowed to devote my life to finding this man and making him mine. I was also fearful or him being made out of sugar, it was going to rain soon and I didn't want him to melt. After ravaging the town, breaking windows, kicking in doors, I got a break int he case when a drifter from Seoul told me of a candy man who mongers the most delightful tattoos at Infinite Art. I got on my mountain bike as soon as I could and through myself through the 17 front doors of the shop, and there he was. We immediately locked eyes, and at the same time we both softly said, "Believe." Who is this man you ask? Don't be stupid, it's none other than the Arnold Palmer guzzling, lots of pizza eating, girlfriend having, air breathing Mr. Duane Sillylastname.
New to the Toledo area. I just graduated from MSU Med School (GO MSU) and I'm now an E.R MD at St. Vincents Med. Center. I have wanted a tattoo for many years and have always found an excuse to put off doing it. My experience as a physician has also scared me a bit as I have seen some pretty nasty staph infections from Tatoo's gone wrong. So a nurse I work with recommended me to Body Design. I was told the business was fairly new but the artists were from various backgrounds and had done some exceptional work on her. So I finally gathered the will, nerve or whatever you wanna call it and stopped in for my new tattoo. They were very helpful in the design and one of my big concerns was keeping a professional appearance do to my career. The jist of it is I could not be any happier with the work. I had visted a few other shops in the area, no need to mention names as I'm not here to slander anyone's business, but they didnt seem as "sanitary" and the folks I dealt with at Body Design, extremely professional. No profanity, crazy music blarring, just an overall way above average experience.
I was tattooed by Sailor Woody a little over a week ago and I can't believe how quickly the tattoo healed! His attention to detail and customer satisfaction was second to none. He totally worked with me on the design and took my ideas and turned them into a tattoo that went way beyond what i expected. I felt very comfortable as soon as i entered the studio and was greeted right away. While i was waiting for Sailor Woody i was talking to one of the other artists and he made me feel right at home. I can't describe how satisfied i am with the tattoo and my experience. I would urge anyone to get tattooed by Sailor woody. The Infinite Art tattoo studio and their staff are top notch!
After visiting some of the tattoo shops in the toledo area to get information and price quotes, i found infinite art to be the most helpful and down to earth shop of them all. The portfolios were tremendous and the staff were very friendly. i decided to make an appointment with Dominic. He got me in just a couple of days later. i love the tattoo that i got and the price was very reasonable. I plan on getting a couple of more tattoos done and I will definitely go back to infinite art! People have been giving me alot of compliments about my tattoo and i don't hesitate to tell them where to go to get tattooed. Thank you for the great experience and the great tattoo!
Im been going to Infinite Art for over a decade now and I have been tattooed by Norwalk every single time. I couldnt think of going to another tattoo shop for anything. I spent alot of hours in that shop getting tattooed from my arms to my feet. The staff @ Infinite Art and especially Brion Norwalk knows how important it is to make a great long lasting impression, thats why I only trust him with taking my tattoo vision from sketch 2 skin!
My experience at Infinite Art was great! Ceejay was really cool and she did a great job on my tattoo. She really knew what she was doing, and she was able to modify the design so it would look good on my wrist. I was also able to relax throughout the process because Ceejay was so easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor! I would recommend Infinite Art and Ceejay to anyone who's looking for a positive tattoo experience!
I got my tattoo by Tony Touch. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get in the same day as a walk-in, however the wait was well worth it. He tweeked my design I had got from the internet to make it more custom, and better than I expected. He's a little goofy, but really nice and helpful with any questions. Also he really enjoys corny jokes, heck they made me laugh too!
I guess it was the former outrageous ink, but much cleaner and much nicer, and the poeple there are nicer and do a better job. I got a tattoo and piercing there like 2 weeks ago and they had me cracking up the whole time i was there, and i like how they have a male and a female tattoo artist and piercer. My tattoo came out flawless ill never go anywhere else again!!!!!!!!
