So my Mitsubishi Lancer that I just got not too long ago has been down since May 18th. I didn't even have the title yet from Good Wheels. What happened you ask? Well, the control arm on the driver's side that I asked them about a recall on busted on me in the middle of the Walmart/170 intersection. I only bought the car with the recall because they had a valid PA inspection sticker in the windshield that said it was inspected and road safe in March. The sales girl at Good Wheels had told me that she wouldn't put me and my family in an unsafe vehicle. *snort* Yeah, because having 7 people push you off a busy intersection with kids in the car isn't unsafe or anything. I had it towed directly back to their lot by their service dept and dropped. Next day, I was not happy. Especially, since I had no title to it yet, my temp tag expired and they wouldn't give me another one so I couldn't get my plates. 45 days to get a title? Which I had called about several times and had been told it was "lost in transit". I finally got my title almost a week later just before MItsubishi Boardman picked up my car with a hauler to take it to their dealership and fix the recall. Mitsubishi has had it for a couple weeks now and just finished fixing the frame and mechanics under recall and damaged. I just talked to them today and it is going to the body shop for 3-5 more days to repair the body damage from the failure. They offered a rental car for which I would have to pay a $50 deposit and $100 deposit to up my insurance to full coverage in order to drive. So I couldn't accept the rental. Good Wheels has offered no solutions, this is all done by Mitsubishi. So..just a heads up...buyer beware with Good Wheels. DO NOT buy a car off of them without an independent inspection. No matter what the inspection sticker says or what the salesman tells you. She may have known or she may not. GET AN INDEPENDENT INSPECTION or shop elsewhere.
We have gotten 2 cars from here and so far no major issues. 1st car had some problems and they went above and beyond to correct the issue. Kristin is wonderful to work with, she gets back to you right away.
Great car's if you know what your looking for. Also cheaper cars not as nice. You get what you pay for.
Leslie was awesome in handling my deal!!It's always a great experience. Three cars so far and I'll be going back for more. Everyone should go see her!!
Cars are wrecked rebuilds filled with bondo. Check everything if you choose to buy from them. Cars are not mechanically sound.
It sucked there cars are over priced there warrant coverage sucks I do not recommend going here go to a better place these people will rip you off
I went to buy a as in vehicle from them today. I was told by the salesmen that since the car I would be buying was out of inspection that I could not get plates for it. But I would need plates on the car to get it inspected. So by what he is saying if I buy the car is that I never could get plates on it nor either get it inspected. Sorry salesmen your wrong. How it works is you buy a car and plate it. Then if the car needs inspected then you have 10 days to get it inspected. I mean come on guys get your stuff in order. Your suppose to be the pros here. Needless to say I didn't buy that car nor will I ever be returning there.
If I could give St Clair Auto Sales a zero star rating, I would. John Ash, the Internet Sales Manager, will waste your time by describing his vehicles as being in much better condition than they actually are. He described a heavily smoked in/fair condition car as being smoke-free/excellent condition. I had to make a 70 mile round trip journey to find out he was dishonest. I offered a $100 deposit to hold the smoke-free/excellent condition car he described over the phone. A few hours later I learned he wasted my time by fabricating the condition on a vehicle that I later learned had been bought at auction and had sat on his lot for over 1 1/2 years! Furthermore, he felt he deserved to keep the $100 deposit I had offered with good intent! I had to file a dispute with my bank to have the $100 deposit. John Ash couldn t supply my bank with paperwork showing he was entitled to keep my deposit...and that s because it was a good will gesture on my part. When I offered to make a deposit to hold the car he had described to me over the phone he could have been honest and said it had been on his lot for quite a while and the likelihood that it not being there when I arrived that evening was slim to none!
Good Wheels is designed for people with Bad or NO Credit. They own the finance company. The loans are short term usually 2-3 years. Payments on the price of the vehicle. Interest rates depending on vehicle and credit score will be 18%-25%+. Vehicles over $6000 come with a standard warrenty of 30 days or 1,000 miles. It covers the engine, transmission and drive axle. You pay 50% and the dealer pays %50. If you purchase a car over $6,000 from here and you have bad credit Good Wheels makes you carry full coverage insurance on the car. If the vehicle is under $6,000 then you do not have to carry full coverage insurance but liability instead. Vehicles under $6000-$700 come with no warrenty. I strongly reccomend even if you are not going to buy a vehicle from here to have it checked out by a local mechanic of your choice to make sure the vehicle is in suitable condition. About 75% of the vehicles are PA inspected. Most of them do however come from the auction block. They do offer vehicles to people that have good credit to. If you pay cash, then they can knock off a little $ of the sticker price.
