Mike's Quality Meats

Very quick and professional service! We doubled our order the other day and they had so much patience. The meat is so mug better than what you buy in the grocery store.

I've bought pretty much all my meat from Mike's Quality Meats in the nearly 5 years I've been living here. Excellent meat, excellent service, and the prices are great. There is great variety, some unique items you can't find at other places, and the bacon? YUM!! My absolute favorite ever!

This place has really good quality meat! We especially like their roast pig. We wanted a luau type of Birthday party for my sister and ordered a whole pig at Mike's. It was so good that we ordered another one for Christmas. They charge a little extra for cooking it but for the size and effort it would have taken us to roast it ourselves it was well worth it. So...here we go again, we are ordering one for our wedding!

Funny how you can say that you've been shopping at a place for over twenty years, then immediately afterwards admit that you know so little about what it is you are reviewing. Meat can turn brown from lack of oxygen not just aging. When it is successfully wrapped it should turn brown after a little while, that's the point of wrapping it in the first place, to cut it off from oxygen and delay spoilage. I expect that the guys behind the counter, who's job it is to determine whether or not food is safe to eat, would know a little better than you. I've only ever been in there a few times and, as far as I'm concerned, they are way better than the grocery store. There are always people there to answer your questions and the prices are great. I just came on here to check what people had to say about them and it always irks me to find people who don't know what they're talking about writing scathing reviews of places. Perhaps you should spend a little more time doing research before you go bad mouthing places online.

Before today, I would of told them to go to Mike's, but as of today, I will not recommend Mike's Meats to ANYONE. I took some cube steak back, that to me was bad, it was brown. I was told by the guy who is almost bald with some white hair, nothing was wrong with it. No exchange. I have shopped at Mikes for over 20 years, I have never had one problem with their meat, but I will not shop there again. I will get my meat from Mr. Prime Beef in Anchorage from now on.
