I really like Mike's Music. I see one review from an idiot that thinks they have bad customer service because they wouldn't change her violin strings for free when she didn't purchase either the instrument or strings from them. I wouldn't do it for you either... it's time consuming and a skill, and on a guitar that's a $60 charge! The nerve of people! I have went in to browse and come out with a guitar in my hand several times. The price of strings is a little steep, but when I need them, they carry my brand. The service is just fine here... don't pay attention to over-entitled people who want to throw a fit because a business won't just provide whatever service _they want_ for free.

Don't go here if you are at all interested in a business that makes any effort towards customer service. I was told flat out by the owner/manager that she wouldn't pay for the ten minutes of overtime of her employee to finish our purchase of an instrument. When I had previously tried to come in to their store, the hours didn't match the sign or website, due to closing earlier that stated. Needless to say a small effort on their part, would have created long term relationship that would have paid for that ten minutes of overtime.



Mike's Music lacks customer se...

Mike's Music lacks customer service. I went in today because I was in a bind and needed help changing some violin strings, ASAP. They were unwilling to help because I did not buy the strings from them. Not un-able, but unwilling. Their excuses for why they would not help were just that, excuses. They have lost what ever business I may have brought through recommendations or my own musical needs.
