My husband and I went here last Friday evening for dinner. I fully expected it to be dank and dirty like most buffets I've been to, but quite the contrary. The place was clean and actually smelled good. Unfortunately the ladies room did smell bad, and there were paper towels all over the floor. The restaurant is a little dark, but still has good atmosphere, and despite it being after 5pm on a Friday, wasn't too packed. The waitress was very nice and refilled our drinks very quickly, though her English wasn't very good, she did well making small talk with us. She never rushed us to finish, maybe because I'm 7mos pregnant and I do eat a decent amount, but she never seemed to care how long we stayed. The used plates were never left on the table for more than 5 minutes. The buffet itself was clean, even the glass. You could see through it, unlike some places I've been. The food was hot, and replenished very regularly, so it was always fresh and DELICIOUS! The only food item that disappointed me were the Crab Rangoons, which were thinly filled, and the wonton was very hard. Otherwise, even the rice was flavorful! Lots of options, from typical appetizers to all kinds of vegetables. They even have a Sushi bar, with so many kinds of delicious sushi. I highly recommend China Buffet, as its the best around I've found. The price was reasonable... $10.00 per person, so after drinks it was about $25.00. Not bad considering what you get! We are planning a return trip this Friday!!

I eat there during lunch and the food is great. I am not sure of the bad reviews, but I love eating there. They have a sushi bar as part of the buffet, and it is really good. The price can't be beaten for the quality and the choice of food. Try it for yourself and you'll like it.

I decided to try this place again after hearing positive reviews from friends. We went at 6pm on a Thursday. This time it was reasonably better than the first time. I tried several things I had the first time and a few new items. It was decent. Definitely better than my first visit. Even so, I won't likely go back because there's just nothing special about the food to make it worth the trip and price. The staff was nice and the cashier let us use a single coupon 6 times for each person in the group. That was pretty gracious. My original view is below with a few omissions.
We went on a Friday at 6:30pm (should have been prime time for hot fresh dishes). We've eaten at TONS Asian restaurants all over the county over the years (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, etc.). There was virtually NOTHING good on the buffet. The soup tasted like really bad tap water; sweet and sour chicken was just plain bad (the chicken tasted like it was possibly expired and the breading had no flavor at all); all other fried chicken dishes were soggy and ordinary; veggie dishes were way overcooked; the rest of the selections followed this trend. The only semi-palatable thing we had was the sushi; it wasn't bad for a Chinese buffet. Sushi was cold, fresh, and overall decent for this type of restaurant.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, nice entrance, friendly staff, sitting a bit crowded, I like more space for my big family, needs more spacing.
Food selection was great although some of the steak and some of the food thats supposed to be hot temperature was cold.

We've been visiting this restaurant every couple of months for a year. The selection is awesome and varied. The cheesy crab-bake is out of this world and the sesame seed pastries are soft and sweet. For a little extra cash, you can have huge crablegs as well. I really don't understand the negative reviews of this place. My food has always been the right temperature, and plates are always readily available. It's not like I'm basing this on one visit. The only drawback we've noticed is how the staff congregates near diners when closing time grows close. It makes us uncomfortable, as though getting the bum's rush. We've visited other Chinese buffets in the area, but we keep coming back to China Buffet.

The above bad reviews are totally inaccurate. They must have been placed by competitors. My wife and I have eaten at the China Buffet over 150 times and we drive a great distance from Virginia to eat here. We have never encountered empty trays, cold food that should be hot, rude wait staff or the other inaccurate things mentioned. The staff is especially helpful and attentive. The selection of food is varied and the sushi bar is very popular. There are a number of people who eat at the China Buffet every day and they have been doing so almost since it opened. It is best to rely on people who know good food and do not have an ulterior motive when they write reviews.

This used to be our favorite place to go for a quick, inexpensive dinner. The food was above average for a Chinese buffet and we could get in and out quickly. Over the last two years, however, the number of items on the buffet has increased while the quality of the food has steadily declined. Also, the dishes for the food are often empty and not quickly refilled so if you want the General Tso?s chicken, orange beef or other popular dishes they may not be out for 15 or minutes after you find the dish empty?and why you get these dishes they are now far more breading than meat. It is to the point where one really wants to consider seriously selecting a different place to eat. It?s not terrible but for the price you would be better off at the buffet down the road a block at the Golden Corral.

This place doesn't deserve even ONE HALF a star. It seems like all their profit goes into decor, because none of it seems to go into the food. I wish I'd read this before we went. I think they keep your drinks filled to help you get the food down. I stopped eating the first plate and left it with most of the food on it. By then, I already had an MSG headache! Still hungry, I searched the buffet for different foods that might be edible and ended up picking at some of the dishes only to find a hair in my food. I also overheard the table next to me telling the manager about a hair in their food. We were so disgusted, we just got up, paid, and left. I hope this place gets shut down! If, after reading this, you still decide to go eat there, make sure you have a strong stomach.

This is probably the worst restaurant I've been to in my life. There is nothing positive about it.. Normally, you can find at least one item you like in a buffet. However, at this restaurant, *everything* tasted disgusting. When I say everything, I am not exaggerating.
Especially, all deep fried food was stale. It just tasted like cooked 3 days ago. The sushi was absolutely disgusting (they should not even say that they serve ""sushi""). Basically, the only thing I could eat was their frozen yogurt. That was it. I am not even a picky eater.
Anyhow, this place makes places like golden corral look good... On the top of that, the staff there was not nice either.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant at lunch time during the week because of a flyer we got in the mail. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food for the price. There were plenty of selections on the buffet. The variety of sushi was great, most buffets only offer a couple of variations on the Cali Roll. This place had salmon, tuna, and even eel. There was also one with this sauce that was to die for, I've been craving it ever since. The crab rangoon was ok, but the beans, ""crab delight"", and other chinese buffet staples were really good. Oh, and if you are into the sugar doughnuts, they were perfect, soft with just the right amount of sugar. Its not a fancy evening out, but it is a great place to eat as much tasty food as you can hold for ten dollars. :)

A very adequate buffet with yummy mussels, firm bean curd, excellent sesame chicken and all the previously-canned fruit your heart could desire. The fried dough with sugar is awesome as are the sweet sesame nuggets. Also, the string beans are super good.
