Renters beware, my son move out of the apartment complex almost 8 months before. Gave notice and turned in his keys before a new owner took over. Everything seemed fine at the time. Little did he know that 8 months later he would find out that he had been taken to court and would supposedly owe a $800.00 collection. He made attemps to contact the previous landlord, they would not give him a copy of any of the charges. Stating that he broke his lease and charged him with cleaning fee's etc. I personally had helped him clean the apartment. The secretary told him that everything was fine and had gave him a recomendation to his current landlord. How does this happen, be taken to court and served without legal documentation? How is this fair to all of the other tenants that this will probably happen to too. This is unfair and unjust, what has happened to honest landlords.
