Just cancelled my membership after a year. First, they quit offering towel service (the manager said the cleaners they used were not sanitizing them properly). This should have been my first flag. Then, I went to the BootCamp class and wasn't very pleased with the fowl language that was in the music and the instructor's mouth--very unprofessional. Next, the Zumba class...it is popular with many folks at the gym. Here, it is not your typical Zumba class with the typical salsa/mambo emphasis. Over the last 7 years, I have experienced 4 different Zumba instructors, and the Margie was my least a favorite. It just wasn't my style. Don't get me wrong---Margie is a great instructor and I wish I had her awesome fasique!!! Just not the instruction style I had hoped for (try her first and make your own decision! I personally liked Misty but she just filled in when Margie wasn't there). Next issue, the tv's and broken equipment. Once a year, the gym charged you an extra fee for gym improvements. There was equipment and faulty TV sacred that I never saw fixed...not did they find a new towel cleaner. The kicker, when I went to cancel my subscription the first time, the manager lured me in to stay another month saying that I should try the other Zumba instructors. Well, there is only the one, which I already told him I wasn't crazy over. When I came home and looked at the online calendar, none of the other Zumba instructors are scheduled to teach. So, he basically lied to get another month out of me. The cherry on top was when I was chastised for letting an elderly woman in the door behind me. I completely understand strict rules before or after hours! It was 9:15 am (there normal hours are 9-5 which means someone is at the desk). This particular morning, I had to swipe my card. Well, the older woman was behind me and I didn't want to slam the door closed on her face. Again, I did not think this was an issue because 1. She was elderly 2. The manager was standing AT the DESK and 3. I saw her scan her card (no computer alarms went off). After I asked the manager a few questions about the TV not working and when other Zumba instructors would be teaching, I was then given a stern lecture about letting people in behind me. At that moment I was done. So, I signed the cancellation form and could care less about ever stepping foot through those doors! I hope this review changes people's mind. I would go and buy a new treadmill for my house before ever shoveling money out to this establishment again.
