Waters Edge Animal Hospital

Created an appointment on a Saturday morning. I was a bit taken back that i had to pay 100 buck up front before seeing any doctor. The answer is that this is urgent care vs emergency care or annual appt. We have never been before, but my dog need care immediately. We were then given a room to sit in to wait as there were many appointments that day. My dog had bloodwork done as well as x rays and the result were immediately available as well as the prescriptions. It was good that this vet had the equipment to turn the results around immediately. I was then very taken back while in the exam room to then ask for payment. As we are not a customer that has been here before, I've never experienced a payment process like this not even in the Metro area. When talking to the owner, he had an answer for everything....very interesting fellow. Prescriptions cost is much higher than online....and i will shop around as any consumer will....and he had all the answers for that question as well. His wife the doctor i would say was very good. Vets are no different that human health care.....everytime they hit the button on the computer, it captures a treatment procedure, associates the treatment with a cost to the business operations and charges the consumer. Yes it was expensive...and i would suspect that the payment process here in Duluth is because they have been burned without payment.....Waters edge claimed 16,000 bad checks in one month...do the math seems very exaggerated. End result my dog bounced back after 1 day on his medication....the doctor diagnosis was almost immediate, countered with the actual whole experience, and i would have to say yes, i have had better experience.....very expensive...and not the best business acumen. Also based on their closeness even on the inability to write or review on Facebook, supports this review.

Dr. Pop has gone above and beyond her job to take care of my pets. With 5 pets, her compassion, expertise, and council have been amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of Waters Edge and the owners.

I was so stressed out about seeing a new vet because my dog had so many issues... The vet was kind, empathetic, reassuring..she gave me reasonable options that were reasonable in price. DR. Pop started with the least intrusive (and as a result less expensive) option and will work her way up in treatment based on her and my assessment of the matter. I loved that DR. Pop did not over book herself... I was used to sitting in a waiting room for up to an hour at my last vet. I would refer this doctor again and again.

I brought my puppy here to get all of his shots done & they are wonderful with him!! They are an awesome staff & I would definitely recommend this vet clinic to anyone!

Dr.Pop and her staff are caring and professional. They took excellent care of our Terrier mix. This was an emergency situation and after being refused by 4 other Vets,we were told to come right in. Upon arrival we were seen and Molly was treated. I can't be more pleased with her care.
