Admittedly, I've only been here once. However, once was enough for me. I typically get a full set a few times a year, and had a friend recommend Q Nails. Typically I go elsewhere in town, but I was up in the Hermantown area, so I figured I'd try it out. I didn't have to wait for anyone to do my nails, which was nice. Other reviews say that all of the employees have a great sense of humor, make you feel like home, etc. I wouldn't disagree with this, however, there were several instances when the man doing my full set would stop working and start to tell me a story. I'm all for story telling, but at the end of a work day when I'm just trying to fit in a nail appointment and relax a little, the last thing I want is to be stuck there for almost two hours and have 4 different workers come up to chat with the technician doing my nails, delaying the process even further. I even had a worker come up and show me a card trick. Cute, but really? Call me antisocial, but part of the reason I like to get my nails done is to unwind. I guess I'm not used to being bombarded during the process. By the time my nails were finished and I was headed to the dryer, it was 15 minutes past closing time. The person who did my nails took my payment and left, leaving me with another worker while my nails dried. It was my fault for assuming that places other than my normal nail salon (Diamond Nails) would be prompt, fair prices, and personable. I simply don't have the time to get my nails done there. The quality wasn't great. There was a gap between my cuticle and where the nail started. I figure, if you're going to take so long, they should look much better than mine turned out. Bottom line: yes, they're nice people. They have a good selection of colors of nail polish. Maybe all of the other reviewers came here on a free day, or don't have jobs, or whatever. Personally, I can't take two hours out of my day for getting my nails done. I've stuck with Diamond now. They're personable, remember you, and take 40 minutes, tops, drying time included: even on Saturday, their busiest day. I really don't have the patience for Q Nails.
I went with my wedding party the day before my wedding to have mani/pedi's done, and a few of the ladies got stuck in traffic. They refused to let the rest of the wedding party get full service since they were late, even though they say walk-ins are welcome. I was also very displeased with the way my nails turned out. I had to fix the shape when I got home, and there were several other flaws. I will not ever go there again nor would I recommend them to anyone!!

I go to Q-Nails all the time. Everyone there is absolutely amazing and so nice. I always have Kenny do my nails but everyone has I have worked with as well are just as great. I love the way they greet everyone that walks in the door and make you feel at home. They have an amazing sense of humor and make your experience there so much more amazing than any other salon in town. I love getting my nails done because they are my signature and I love that Q-Nails does an amazing job and they take great pride in the work that they do. I refer them to everyone that comments on my nails and give them a business card. They do everything! If you are a diva such as myself, or just like to get pampered every now and then, I suggest you go to Q-Nails. You won't be disappointed... :)

I absolutely love getting my nails done. I have been to a couple different places to get full sets and most of the places were ""ok i guess"" service. I finally found Q nails and the service was great! They do amazing work and are so polite. I have now gotten my nails done there in between 15 to 20 times now and have never had one bad experience or even just an okay experience. They are always very nice and make me laugh while I am getting my nails done. They also do amazing designs and art work. The have all sorts of services. They do manicures, Pedicures, eyebrow wax's, Full sets with gel and acrylic. For full sets they also do the gel glitter tips which are very cute or they just have plain color or the classic french. Q nails is amazing and I would suggest anyone who wants a great experience and there nails done well to go there!!!
justed wanted to leave a review about the good time q nails showed us..we had a wedding party of 12 and they ran the place so smooth its amazing ive been to Nail salons in the cities and all over Duluth..and this shop is on point..they kno whats goin on and treat there clients like family..referring them by their name when they speak and not ""hey you"" like other shops i been and i notice when they did our pedicures they sanitized all equipment in a blue sanitized water..which i have never seen other shops do..i was really impressed overall keep it up Q nails
i just started coming to Q nails and i dont think i will b goin any where else the place is so cute and the staff are all so friendly i got a fullset of Pink and whites with a Design done and it look soo nice..everyone greeted me like i have been one of their regulars...made me feel very Comfortable..Price by far the most reasonable compared to Angel Nails and the new place by shopko...my friend amanda usually goes to Kenny because she think hes cute..lol ..truly the Best Salon in town

I've been going to q nails for several months and Hanah has done a great job on my acrilycs! I haven't once left with any cuts on my fingers or a headache from the fumes. She is gentle with my hands and when I want something painted on (not airbrushed, but a flower or something festive) she does beautiful work. I love that they have flat screen t.v.'s with movies on while I'm there.
Things must have changed since 2005 when the negative review was left here, because all of the employees are very friendly and outgoing.
