Business Description
Classic Italian dinning and Wine Spectator award winner since 1999 Bellisio’s restaurant conjures up images of highly skilled chefs, fine wines, superb service, and fresh Italian food. And while all this is most certainly true, one must not forget that Bellisio’s is above all an experience. An exceptional dining experience, to be precise, but one that takes place in a casual atmosphere reminiscent of the quaint eateries and wine bars of the Italian countryside. And no wonder. The experience is fashioned after the small village of Bellisio, Italy, home to the owner’s ancestry. Imported direct from Italy are the beauty, comfort, romance, and glorious recipes. Specialty dishes include perfectly prepared pasta dishes using the finest imported and local ingredients; fennel roasted rack of pork; homemade risotto dishes; grilled steaks; shrimp; seafood; and a fresh catch feature every day. All served with a world class wine menu to match. Bellisio’s has received Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” every year since we opened in 1999. It’s a simple, colorful, elegant, and exceptional dining experience.

Overall

High priced pasta not worth the price. Everything was too oily and this overshadowed any flavor. Not on my return list.

Average Italian

Dined here a few wks ago and ordered fettucine alfredo, was dissapointed in it's lack of flavor. No hint of garlic whatsoever. The Olive Garden chain was suprisingly better. Bland italian equals bad italian. Bonus was decor and romantic atmosphere.

Bellisio rating

It is a great place to do what ever you want, dine, sit in the bar, in the summer, sit out in the patio. This resturant is great from, the food to the wine and other bar selections this is a great place to have some fun. The only problem that I really had was to be seated, you need reservations, there is always lots of people there. One of the good things about the wait, is that, you can visit the bar area and take in more of the great belleisio's enviroment. Even though the food is on the more expensive side, you pay for what you get, great athentic tasting Italian cuisine. The food is worth the price.

Good spot for Duluth

I was visiting Duluth over the weekend, and found this restaurant to be great spot to have a romantic dinner at. Not really knowing any other place in the area that would be good for ""date"" type restaurant (took my girlfriend) we made a reservation here. By comparison to the Italian places in the Twin Cities (Biaggi's, Campiello's, Buca's, Macaroni Grill, Etc.) area it was slightly below their level of food quality and appearance (nothing special I thought). Wine list was really good, almost too extensive and over-whelming. Service was excellent the night that we went, which was about 8p on Sat. night. Overall nice job Bellisio's!
