Cataract Surgery
Dr. Perry and his staff were great!! From the first phone call to start the process to my last visit, everyone was professional, friendly and knowledgeable..answered all my questions!! They did a thorough exam and since I had Lasik surgery over 20yrs ago felt PRK would be best for me...explained to me thoroughly what that entailed and that it takes longer to heal but would have great results. Dr Perry called me the night before the surgery to see if I had any questions....the next morning they did another thorough exam before the surgery and Dr Perry let me know that I had astigmatism in the middle of my right eye which is not that common, so he had to make adjustments to that eye for the PRK to work properly. Dr Perry also wanted me to know in the future when i need cataract surgery to inform that Doctor of this adjust so they can do proper cataract surgery to that eye (see very thorough). The surgery went well and was quick. There was discomfort but not that bad. One eye bothered me more than the other, but I went to sleep like they tell you to andrested,used my drops, and it wasn't that bad. Dr Perry called me a few hours after the surgery, but I was asleep and missed his call, but he did say if I had any problems or questions to call him. It is almost a month since my surgery and my eyes are healing nicely...I see pretty well almost 20/20 but PRK takes longer to heal so I'm still a little blurry on and off but to be able to see so well again is worth the wait. Also because I'm a little older, I do need to wear reading glasses now(which i was full aware would happen with this surgery) but that's OK (though it is a little of an adjustment...lol ) but to be able to drive, hike, kayak, watch TV, etc and see so far was worth it!! Thank you Dr. Perry and your entire staff for all your help!!!
