I originally purchased a ring from this store, and when I recently chipped the stone (a beautiful Alexandrite) I returned to Jared?s to have the stone replaced. The sales woman gave me a price I was happy with for the new stone and a few weeks later I picked up the ring. It was hideous. It looked like a plastic Amethyst knock-off. A few days later I went to the store to have the stone replaced again because I was not happy with the quality/look of it. After much confusion and MUCH trouble from the employees, one was finally able to determine that the stone did not look right to me because it was a ?synthetic? Alexandrite, and not a ?lab created? Alexandrite, which is what I originally purchased.
The sales person knew I had originally purchased a lab created stone, considering it was from that same store. There was NEVER any mention that the replacement stone would be synthetic. Had I not gone back I would have lived my life with this hideous imposter Alexandrite and been none the wiser. The store finally agreed to replace the stone (again), with a lab-created, like I originally had, which is higher quality. Well, it came in a while ago and of course they did not call me even though I was told they would?..but that is really just icing on the crap-cake that is their store. Every time I went there, all of the employees were clueless, and some rather rude. I will never purchase another item from this store again. Who knows what they might try to dupe me out of next.

I was shocked to read these bad reviews. We had a great experience with Jared and their staff... ESPECIALLY with Rick! Not only do I absolutely love my wedding set (that they rebuilt to fit my work needs) we received excellent service and actually had a great time shopping with these folks! I suppose there are varied stories and opinions anywhere you go, but ours is 100% positive. We were so happy to have wandered in there, and now will never go anywhere else. ~Heidi Quelette

Terrible customer service!!. My husband has been buying from Jared the past couple years. It is the only jewelry store he shops at (until today). The chain of the diamond necklace he bought last month broke in half when I picked it up last nite off the counter. It has only been worn 4 times. Still within 30 days purchase period. I went to the store and simply asked that they replace the chain. The assistant mgr. said they could only repair it by soldering. I saw numerous duplicate items in the display box and asked if he could just take one of those chains off and replace mine (figuring he could easily get another for the display item). He said he could not do that. I told him that I did not want a soldered/ repaired chain as the chain is so fine, it would be noticeable, and besides it is BRAND NEW! There should not be any question about replacement vs. repair. I told him the integrity of the chain would be compromised if repaired and was concerned it would break again. He then encouraged me to buy the $80! extended warranty. I told him the chain was not even worth that much (the $$ was in the diamond and bail). I left it w/ him to repair but was very frustrated. My husband then made another trip to the store to try to remedy the situation. He got the same run around. He ended up asking for his money back and told them he would not likely shop w/ Jared again. They did not express any care or concern about this. It did not matter to them that a customer was upset, had been inconvenienced, that faulty jewelry had been sold, or that they lost a repeat customer permanently. Very frustrating situation. You would not get this kind of service at a small mom and pop location. This is corporate America at its finest and one customer in the sea of thousands clearly does not matter to them. We will never shop there (or any Jared) again and strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.

Both my engagement ring and wedding band are from Jared. On my wedding day a diamond fell out of my wedding band. It was absolutely terrible. I went to the store the following day, right before leaving for our honeymoon, to try to return the ring because I was disgusted with the quality. They refused to return the ring because it had been over 30 days since we purchased it. The store managed told me to contact Jared Guest Services. It was a complete waste of time and they only made me feel worse. They refused to let me speak to a manager and refused to do anything for us. Honestly, I am probably going to sell my ring on eBay because every time I look at it, it sickens me by how horrible we have been treated.
We have had a lot of issues with Jared but continued to try to be customers there. Losing a diamond out of my wedding band on my wedding day, and having zero empathy from anyone was the last straw.
I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I had gone to 10 stores looking for the engagement ring my fiance had wanted. I couldnt find it, and Jareds was willing to make it. I then proceeded to pick out the band and diamond. Long story short, Rick a salesperson picked up the wrong band and the ring became wrong. We came back to the store to buy my ring and the wedding band for my fiance. When we walked in our worst nightmare was greeting us. Rick was the only person available. Long story short, Rick messed up again. He wrote down the wrong information on the papers. My fiances ring was sized to my size which is size 13. Her ring didnt even need sized because she is a 6.5 . The store is okay without his service.
