I am rating the car buying experience, I am not familiar with the service group. We purchased a certified pre-owned passat from Dublin VW, not a diesel (yikes). This was the 5th car lot of the day in our hunt for the perfect used car, we hit up all the brands and dealt with many sales type people. At Dublin VW the experience was easy from the first hello, no pressure, easy to work with team. We got the car we wanted, at the price we wanted, and no back room haggling and none sense. It felt good getting that car.
I purchased a Hyundai Sonata from this dealership and I must say I'm highly satisfied with the services provided by Fred. He is amazing and very courteous. We came to the dealership 3 times and test drive several vehicles and through all of them he was very patient and explained the features of each car in detail. Fred's boss was also very helpful in price negotiation and gave me the best price I was looking for. Richard who helped us finance the vehicle was very helpful and helped me get the finance rate that I was looking for. I would highly recommend this dealership to everyone.
This car dealership (nissan/fiat) is very dishonest and sneaky. The whole time I was negotiating with the salesmen, I said I only wanted a 60 month loan. I made a big deal about only wanting a 5 year loan throughout the negotiations. We agreed to a price with a car payment amount with a 60 month loan. Today, I got my car loan statement and it says it is a 72 month loan. They tricked me and put the contact in front of me and pressured me so fast that I didn't have time to read the fine print. I should have read the fine print, but they were also very dishonest and intentionally tricked me. I would recommend everyone avoid this dealership because they are underhanded and deceptive.
They sold me an unsafe car!! My power steering went out within 24 hours of purchase WHILE driving!! It was so scary. They admitted to servicing the power steering after I asked for exact service records. I was assured this car would need NOTHING and was in excellent mechanical condition by the salesman and sales manager, Craig. I called back in good faith and reported the problem, hoping for resolution. After 3 weeks of no returned calls (being very polite and patient, I might add) I am seeking legal action for the $2000 worth of repairs a third party mechanic quoted me. I didn't expect the, to fix every problem, but hoped they would help with the psp failure to make the car safe (CA law says a dealer cannot sell an unsafe car). He mechanic, by the way, said these repairs were extremely obviously in need when they serviced my car. Leaking radiator, failed power steering, blown strut, and broken motor mount. Buyer beware!!!!!
I had a very bad experience with Salesperson Mike Davis. He was very rude to me and wasn't helpful, belittling me and my decisions as well as my negotiating tactics. I will not go back to this dealer. They tried to rip me off and then would not negotiate very well at all. They tried to sell me a car for $6,000 over their asking price. When I explained that the price they were presenting me was not synonymous with another listing they had (on the car), the salesman got angry, told me I was mistaken, but then later verified that I was actually accurate. I profusly hated working with Dublin Mazda. I also spoke with Reyes Garcias, the Sales Manager at Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda. He was polite at first but when I alerted him of his rude salesperson he tried to tell me that Mike Davis was crusty sometimes but was simply using different "Sales tactics" and then insulted me by trying to play up pride telling me I was a walking millionaire, and that I was "beautiful," but failed to deal with the problem. I am a salesman and there are no Sales Tactics that involve bad customer service and rudeness. If I was the Sales Manager at any facility and a consumer reported a complaint to me regarding the treatment/ customer service they received from one of MY representatives, I would have a talk with that representative and rectify the situation per the customer's satisfaction. I had a terrible experience at Dublin, Mazda & I encourage everyone to avoid that place like the plague!!! Bottom line: Go to their competitor. I don't like Dublin Mazda one bit!!
