When I first got engaged it was my honest opinion that a wedding planner would be a waste of my money. I really didn’t see the need to hire one. My very high end venue provided a planner and I was quite pleased with her. Just about six months into planning my wedding, the person whom I was working with at my very high end venue moved on to another property and that was the end of it for me. My mother scouted the web and consulted with her friends and came in was Violaine Diogene of Andre Winfrye Events. Violaine and I completed our 45 phone introduction and I was just amazed by her. I was really apprehensive but her attitude just won me over. She must of asked me about thirty questions of where I’ve been, what I’ve been doing and what was I missing in the planning? She asked me things that I never thought of and explained processes that I didn’t even know of. Violaine was just a Godsend! When she flew out to DC to meet with me, it was all she wrote and since, we’re been friends. Her genuine smile, the way she took over everything, her connections and deep appreciation for what she does is just a few reason why my family and I just love so much about her. On our wedding weekend, I realized just how much Violaine’s services was worth, honestly, she was invaluable! She allowed for my mother to be by my side! She allowed my friends and family to enjoy themselves without worry. She allowed me to be the bride. Violaine once told me that my only job for the wedding weekend was just to be a bride. She was right. Looking back, I’ve come to realize and appreciate that everything really happens for a reason and I’m simply grateful that I had her and still have her by my side.
I should have done this a while ago but anyway, here it is. We had Tameka book our last 2 vacations for us, both went off without an issue, the first was Hawaii, I had been there before so I didn't really think much about it. Even though Tameka did indeed go out of her way to make sure we has a good time and everything went well. A great experience to say the least.Our second vacation Tameka set up for us was Canada/Niagara falls, I can't say how glad I was that we had her sort it out for us, it was all the little things you have no idea about when going to another country or just somewhere you have no idea about that she handled perfectly. From the airline tickets to confirming we got the room with the view we were looking for to the shuttle from the airport, I can't say enough about how big a difference this all made to the ease and enjoyment of our vacation. Everything was well explained and well documented, nothing left to question.
My fiancé and I planned our honeymoon to Maui with Tameka. She was wonderful. She was very helpful and got us great rates! She is also great at getting stuff done in emergency situations: While we were in Maui, we had a problem with one of the excursions that we purchased. We needed to cancel the excursion but because it was less than 24 hours of notice, we weren't allowed a cash refund. We called Tameka and she came to our rescue. She talked to the company for us and got the situation resolved immediately and our money back! I have never used a travel agency ever before but after this wonderful experience, I wish I had met Tameka earlier. 2 thumbs WAY up for Luxury Tours And Events.
Special thanks to a woman who transcends the line from a typical wedding planner into a member of the family. Tameka is simply amazing and her work constantly exceeded our expectations. Tameka is very thoughtful and took care of every detail. We were stunned at how beautiful everything came out. Without her and her knowledgable staff, our Hawaii wedding would have lacked luster, finesse and class. I used We Rent Atlanta for my Bridal shower liens. I was bummed when i could not use them for my wedding due to it being a destination wedding. The items were clean and delivered on time. They are very professional and are willing to work with Brides on a Budget. They provided me with the best customer services. Will be willing to use them again for more parties to come.Maybe a baby shower soon! : )
This is the coolest place I have been to in Atlanta. We went for lunch (which was very tasty plus good quality plus cost less than eating fast food!) and discovered the art gallery and the wonderful facility for my upcoming wedding. They can accommodate small and large parties and the acoustics in the Forum room are fantastic. The flyer says the chef is five star. I can believe it!
