Hey, i'm not a profesional food critic, so i won't try to tell you how anything "should be" I have been going there for years for lunch & I bring my family for dinner. I think they have great food! For lunch I get the Herb Chicken with pasta & a vegetable for $8.50 tax included. When i go with my family, I always get the Hill pizza, ( i'ts not the usual pizza you get everywhere you go.. it has a crispy crust and they use provolone instyead of mozzarella.) My wife always gets the Chicken Parmesan. the kids like that they get an ice cream bar.. lol. I think what I like most is that they don't pretend to be something that they are not.. they just serve great food and i have become freinds with many of the staff. It's always fun to go there.. don't expect a fake "Hello, How do You do Sir"...instead ecpect to experience a working italian restaurant thru & thru... Like i said, i don't prtend to be some expert.. i just tell it like it is!

Sometimes you just can't beat the appeal of a hole-in-the-wall storefront restaurant. When you find one that works, you're almost guaranteed to have a culinary resource that few people know about. Ami's is just such a spot. The wait staff is friendly without ever trying too hard. They make you feel at home and like a valued customer all at once. Order anything and you will get a huge amount of food. Their rigatoni con broccoli is a creamy delight, while the pizza has a great chewy crust with the right amount of give and crunch. Ami's has great, filling food you'll want to keep to yourself; but find that it's so tasty you just can't keep quiet about it.
Nice place with two identities: Italian and Greek on equal footing in a very nice restaurant on The Hill. We started with the fried cheese (Halloumi) starter and an order of fried ravioli (also cheese): both were gone in minutes. Delicious. I ordered the Dolmathes entree (with a side or Bolognese pasta of course) and my dinner companion ordered the Fire Pizza (tzatziki sauce base): these were also very tasty. Staff are friendly, the place is very nice, and they have a full bar if you are craving a cocktail.
This is my number one go to when I crave pasta. They do a lot of farm to table dishes so the menu is constantly changing. I've never had a bad meal here. I'm on their e-mail list and I always look forward to getting the weekly update on weekend specials. The seafood specials are always awesome. The minor downside is the place is small, and reservations only for parties of 6 or more. If you can go early or late you might not have a wait. The awesome food and friendly service keep me going back.
My wife & I came for our 10yr anniversary and let me say Giovanni's was worthy of the milestone moment in our lives. Having worked for a authentic "Old World" Italian restaurant ran by a whole blood barely English speaking Sicilian I know great Italian cuisine when I taste it. I had linguine & seafood, my wife had the chicken dish named after President G. W. Bush. Both were incredible, is it a little pricey, yes, both well worth it? Go here for classic authentic Italian cuisine!!!!
After hearing forever how great Trattoria Marcella was we finally took the family (older teens) and enjoyed a fantastic dinner. The salad special was probably the best salad I ever had, and they encourage family style so three of us shared one salad (they split it for you). The lobster risotto, beef tenderloin, and chicken spedina all terrific. Chocolate creme broule was an out of this world experience. Make sure you make reservations. A little slow to seat, but the dinner is great.
When I first moved to Rock Hill in May 2011, Farotto's was the first restaurant that my girlfriend and I went. The place was packed and we didn't have a reservation. However, we had a drink at the bar and were seated quickly. Ther servers were friendly and attentive. I had the Veal Saltimboca and she had the Fetticine Alfredo. We have both ordered the same entrees since. Farotto's is a staple in Rock Hill.
This is the closest Pasta House to where I live (over 10 miles away) and with the Delmar bridge down - the most inconvenient. However; they have the best service and very generous with portions. I always order extra extra meat sauce because it is so very good. Great lunch deal with pasta, salad, bread! I do go out of my way to visit because the food and the service is great!
We were visiting the Botanical Gardens and were looking for a quick lunch close by. We went to Rigazzis and had a great lunch at a reasonable price. We started with the toasted ravioli and it came quickly and was excellent. We both had pasta dishes and were very pleased. The atmosphere was casual and the service was excellent. Our kind of place. I will definitely return.
I was there last night...what fantastic food! I had the meat loaf and fresh green beans! Best meatloaf around. Not expensive either...for a huge piece of meatloaf that could have easily fed two people, a nice-sized helping of fresh green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a large salad, my meal was less than $11. Not expensive for all that food.
