After ready many reviews about this place I want to set the record straight. The food tasted good but over priced for Mexican food. I am always behind owners of resturaunts as it is always courageous to go out on your own. The portion sizes were small and I liked this owners concept. To spend 30 dollars or more per person for food that is not much better in flavour or quanitity than alot of mom and pops resturaunts is not prudent. This is not the value that we find at let's say Baby Kays cajun. If I want gourmet food I want gourmet food. There seems to be some type of gourmet snobbery which tends to over exaggerate based on concept. I want tortillas and salt and not bruscheda and a small piece of bread and two small pieces of zuchinni as sides.

I was a student at Phoenix College, located really close to the restaurant and tried it once with a friend of mine and has been taking friends and family there ever since! The chips and salsa are amazing! I always get the shredded beef combo, you can get it at a great price and you always take a to go plate, the serving size is ridiculous!! The staff is awesome, and the owners are wonderful. If a mistake is made, they correct it to your satisfaction. Very homey environment. There will be downsides to every restaurant I'm sure, but until I see it for myself, Mi Patio is the place to go! P.S. to go combo plates wt two tacos, rice and beans are only $5.25!!! Who does that? It's the bomb!!!
After being to this restaurant for the first time in my life, I tought, Wow! I need to come back. I mean it, the food was excellent (My favorite one was the albondigas). The service was great, They were very attentive and friendly. The price was great, I had a good dinner and paid a modest price. Oh man, let's not talk about the ambiance. There was music, people dancing, laughing, and having fun. As I said before, my experience was great, I would not think twice before coming back to this place. I would really recommend this place to anybody that likes to enjoy good Mexican food, great music and wants to have a lot of fun with out having to spend that much money.
I live a block away, and we've been eating at Los Taquitos since they first opened. They have consistently improved over the years. For the last couple years they have been serving excellent food with very nice service and good prices. A family run restaurant the way restaurants used to be with plenty of pride in their quality and friendliness. Yes it is small and crowded. Crowded because everyone around here knows how good it is. You can get take-out (food is just as good) if you don't like the interior decor. We actually like it because we know small businesses usually decline when they expand. Los Taquitos is doing everything just right!
We discovered this restaurant through advertising at our hotel while spending the weekend in Glendale. It was easy to find because the parking lot was full of cars. Friday night and no waiting, and we were seated in the "red room" which was a favorite of local patrons. Service was quick, presentation was unique, and food was spicy and delicious. Prices very reasonable. Divided bar area with additional outdoor seatiing. I would highly recommend this restaurant... Tourists from southern Oregon
Its right off the street, small driveway to get to the back for parking. No one was at the counter to greet, stood there waiting for someone to seat us. Were given our menus by the hostess, but still waited a while for waitress to get drinks or even to bring chips ( thought they forgot about us) which they charge for chips. Food was really good, good size drinks. Went to pay and girl at counter was talking on a non business call, I had to ask for my credit card receipt and she gave me somebody's else's.
When I patrol I always drive by Fajitas and the smell hits my nostrils like a hyper Chihuahua in a cornfield. I order their nachos with come drenched with mouth watering cheese and a side of bean dip. The bean dip is pure fullfillment, I could eat their beans all day long, my partner is not so forunate. The best part is when you leave the restaurant the sweet aroma of jalapeno, nachos, beef, and corn linger on your clothing so you can futher enjoy the experience for hours and days to come.
I have had just about everything on the lunch menu to date and have been happy with everything I have ordered. Most often I grab take out back to the office, but have also eatin in. The food is always ready on time, hot, and delicious. The staff and owner are very friendly, the restaraunt atmosphere is casual and relaxed. My favorite lunch time meal is the 2 taco combo plate with rice and beans. Very filling and great to eat. Their chips are also light and crispy.
My daughter tipped us off on Valle Luna. Got a coupon in the mail for buy one get one free so we all piled in the car and tried it. So glad we did! The place, as usual, was busy but they get us seated promptly. The atmosphere and service is fine but the food is even better. And at 2 for 1 prices you can go on the cheap and still have a great meal. Highly recommended.....even at full price, and it's not that much.
I have been to this location twice. I went through the drive thru both times. When I got home I was surprised to see how much food they pile in thier to go box. I spent under $10 each visit and one of their meals easily turned into two. That is if your one to eat leftovers. The quality of food isnt that of Abuelos or anything, but for a quick mexican food fix that doesnt cost a lot of money, I recommend it.
