Hi. My partner and I eat at this restaurant once a week. The only reason I did not give Papa's and Beer a five star review is because, on one occasion, the waitress brought me the wrong order. (She didn't speak very good English, if at all). Generally speaking, the food has been wonderful and the wait staff always friendly and quite attentive. It seems that within seconds, not minutes, free, fresh tortilla chips and a bean dip are placed on the table upon the clients being seated. There is a free condiment 'bar' where one can load up on delicious, variously colored and flavored dips, from mild to 'packs a great punch.' Most days there are drink specials. Their Monday special, a margarita for 3.75 is ample and delicious, made with first rate alcohols. The wait staff, when unoccupied, gather together and are always laughing. This only adds to the pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. Warm Greetings to Papa's and Bier, Patrice T.

From Business: We Roll Farm Fresh! All of our menu is prepared daily with only the freshest ingredients. And, when we say FRESH we go to the extreme to define the concept!Genera…
This is MUCH better now than the previous review (written in their early days) indicates. It's become our default place to go when we're not specifically in the mood for something else, which is several times a month, almost weekly. We love the food and drinks, and the service is now top-notch. Yes the menu is a little bit La Paz and a little bit new, but the execution is now excellent, and they've earned our business! We too were sad to see La Paz go, but frankly their quality was off in their latter days, and I guess the new owners inherited some of those issues, but they have been correctly addressed as far as we're concerned! But don't take our word for it--go see what we mean!
We took our family there after Christmas and wow what a treat. Some friends of ours told us about Ritas and how great it was. Friday night was busy and the service was fast and friendly. I had the Mexican Lasagna and my wife had the Shrimp Burrito. Both are a must try. Kid friendly and the server brought our kids some dough to play with. Ritas was fun and festive and we'll be back.
I don't drink a lot of wines but when I want a ladies night out and find that one wine I adore so much, this is the place to go. My wine of choice is a good German Riesling. I typically pair it with their pesto dip and only spend about $10. They offer outdoor seating (which is FAB!) as well as indoor seating. Be wary of hours though, they typically don't open until 4pm.
Love this place! If you are looking for FRESH FOOD this is the place to go. the menue is very simple, they have Burritos, bowls, quesadillas, tacos, salads and taco salads. they have a flat price for $7.99 and no extra charge for guacamole or queso when you are building your food. Locally owned and extremely DELICIOUS.
Had a late lunch here yesterday. Never gone to a Moe's before, didn't know what to expect. Found very friendly, very patient servers who took the time to explain the food and the ingredients. Ass't manager was charming, and Lexie was a gem! We'll be back to this place, and we'll spread the word, too!
Jack of the wood has pretty good food, and great service, they also have a large selection of beers (excluding anything mainstream, no bud light or corona). Go on mondays for a $5 menu, and Quizzo night, trivia with prizes.
The Salsa bar is wonderful and the bean dip for toasted chips is great! Shredded beef is available for enchiladas. We're from Houston, TX so we know good mexican food and this restaurant definitely qualifies!
Well, first of all, Kava tastes like mud. it is a terrible earthy taste, and it numbs your tongue, but apparently it gets you drunk. i did not get drunk. The people are nice, and i really like the atmosphere
Guadalajara is simply the best Mexican food in Asheville. the ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, i could go on and on. i reccomend the shrimp quesadilia .
