I was visiting Asheville, so my wife could be with her father who was undergoing surgery at Mission Memorial. I registered for a room at the Thunderbird Motel for a three nights. I thought it strange that the owner had me sign a paper with about 15 rules that was enforced at the motel. Somewere silly, some were just irritating and some I wonder if they are even legal. When my wife arrived, she parked in the parking spot in front of the door. The owner came immediately and told my wife she could not park there and she would have to move her car to another parking spot. The commanding way that the owner spoke to my wife highly upset my wife. I went to her and told her that we would just check out and find another place to stay. I asked for a refund for the two nights that we would no be there. The owner told me that there is no refunds and that was against motel policy. When I asked her for one, the owner would not give me a receipt for my motel bill.

Worse experience, dirty smelly room, dirty linen, filthy carpet, refused to allow our dog to stay when we booked on line as pet friendly. Sleep in truck because I couldn't stand the smell and to keep our dog warm. Run don't stay, sleep in Walmart parking lot in ur car, overpriced
Nicely renovated! Had visit here two years ago and I must say I liked everything. The rooms were much more comfortable along with clean bathroom. The staff was excellent. I am very satisfied with my visit here
Great location as well as the place.
Clean, friendly, affordable hotel for the weekend.
The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly.
I had stayed here for two days and loved the stay very much. The staff is great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would love to visit this place and stay again!
We didn't know what to expect booking at the last minute but we had a good night's rest on our way across country. Location great for access to the city, room was comfortable and clean
Excellent inexpensive hotel that's less then 2 minutes from downtown. Expect to get what you pay for. I've stayed here in the past and I will continue to stay here for my future trips. It's not the most current model of hotel, but what more do you need when you're in Asheville.
I stayed at Econolodge on a recent work trip for some days and wouldn't seem to have had a problem at all. I was alone for this trip and was a bit nervous to stay. But gotta say great location. I have no complaints for any staff member. I was definitely treated as a guest and I really appreciate that. Thanks ! Future reference I'll def visit this place again!
