I arrived at the station at approx. 11:15 am on 7/23/2016. As I was pumping my gas, a young man got out of the passenger side of an suv parked next to me and lit up a cigarette. I immediately told him to put it out or to leave the area. He did what I asked but not before he pointed to an employee of the Murphy's Gas station smoking not more than 20 feet from the pumps to my right. I immediately went to the window and informed the person on duty that an employee was smoking in the proximity to the pumps. She apologized and told me she would speak to the employee. I took this at face value and went back to my car. When I was about to get into my car and leave, I noticed that the employee had not only NOT put out the cigarette, she was flaunting the fact in my face. I immediately approached her myself and asked her to put out the cigarette. She became very belligerent and forced me to call the police to report the incident.
