My high hopes were dashed! I have a lot to say about this restaurant. As a newcomer to Dover, I was delighted to discover an Indian restaurant, and one with such great reviews. When I went there a few days ago, there was one man working the place - waiter, cashier, busboy - maybe the owner? It wasn't too busy, but he didn't have time to even make eye contact, let alone smile and greet me. Service was slow and surly - after more than enough time, he tossed my garlic naan on the table as he passed by without a word. The food tasted good, and there was plenty of it (my lamb biryani was enough to amply feed 3 people!), but was poorly prepared. The lamb had a bone chip in it which could have caused a broken tooth or a choking incident, too much of the lamb was gristly or fatty, and there were big pieces of broccoli in the dish - in my experience, highly unusual (and unpleasant) for this dish, and Indian food in general. I couldn't even come close to finishing it, and waiter passed by again with one word - "box?" He tossed it to me a few minutes later, and I asked for a cup for my leftover raita, which was also tossed - some waiter! When I went to pay my check, I mentioned the bone chip and gristly lamb. He did say he was sorry, but didn't offer anything to induce me to come back, like a free or discounted buffet next time or anything, not even dessert. He put my box and cup in a plastic box as an afterthought. But wait it, gets worse! After I was back in my hotel, just a couple/few hours later I was sicker than I've been in memory. I mean, all over the place and for a long time. What a mess! I even told the front desk to warn housekeeping of what they would find when they cleaned my room. Major disappointment, and I guess I'll be going to Wilmington for Indian food in the future.
