I am very angry and disappointed because of the dishonesty of this company. My bill increased from $31.00 to $306.23 in one month then $250.69 the following month. I was on an extended vacation and on my return I inquired, why? I was told that there was a red flag generated by this increase and someone from Southeast gas came out to my house and to investigated why my bill was 10 times higher than usual. They then claimed that my pool heater left was on. I NEVER turned my pool heater on. However, even with this discovery, no one had the courtesy to attempt to call me or ever leave a note on my door to alert me. My anger is they took according to them an extra step to check to see where the claimed extra usage was being generated but failed to alert their customer. The payment for my gas bill is drafted monthly from my bank account and it seems as long as Southeast Gas could in their crooked ways justifies the 'claimed' usage, they had no obligation to the customer. This was my understanding when I spoke with them. I repeat, the pool heater was never turned on by me or anyone in my household, as I am the only adult with 2 small children. This is still an unanswered question, who turned on my pool heater? Watch out everyone. My advise to you all is to monitor your bill and if you are on vacation and not able to personally access your bill, let someone review it for you. In two months Southeast Gas drafted $556.92 from my account, almost $500.00 more that my usual bill. Thank you Southeast Gas. I trusted you when I signed up for for the monthly draft.
