I have lived in Napier Field for 9 years and have had only friendly dealings with all the people at Town Hall. Very helpful and caring.
The Town now has the ability for the customer to pay their bill over the phone using a debit or credit card. If you pay your bill on time there is no issue. There is also a drop box for after hours payments. The water system is also digital read now no there are ways for the Town to determine if you have a leak in your house that is costing you extra on you bill. To complain about the town being somewhere to live based on just the issues with not taking care of you bill is just ignorant. There are a lot more things to consider.
This is the worst district anyone would want to live in. They do not take any type of automatic drafting or paying on the phone through debit. I would send water payment in way before the due date, but they would still charge a late fee of more than the actual bill by saying it didn't get there on time, so I would have to drive there every month and pay them in person. Then I tried having my bank draft them a check every month. They turned my water off by accident several times. Once, I was in the shower. They apologized but that was a load of crap. My bank sent them a check every month for more than my water bill-- just to make sure it was covered.... so I wouldn't have to deal with them. At the end of the year, they owed me over a $100 back, but told me they didn't because they kept increasing my bill every month over time, so I kept increasing my check that was being sent to them. Before that, my bill was the same amount for three years. They do not run a professional business and would make mistakes by writing down the wrong amount I paid on my receipt, etc. They need to go back to business school to accommodate the customers an quit trying to get more than they deserve. I will never live in that district again!!!!!!
