Came here with my mom and I agree with her that Sushi Joe has the best sushi in all of Miami. The fish and ingredients are fresh and high quality. We loved the Miki roll, the Veronica roll, the age tofu, and the sashimi platter. The dedicated service of its owners, the food presentation, and the atmosphere makes it a great place for an evening out.

I did take out, so cannot comment on the service, but the sushi and sashimi were excellent. The fish was very fresh and tasty and the rice perfectly cooked. The miso soup was not the best I've had, but had a nice flavor, unlike some that taste like colored water. It could have used more tofu, though. The ginger dressing on the salad was very good also.

Love the sushi at Sushi Joes... you can tell that they always have the freshest fish. It's a great place to go with girlfirends, or to pick up take out too. And if you want to experiment with real, authentic Japanese food, you can't go wrong with their daily specials on the front board. I always say that the sign for a good Japanese restaurant is when you see real Japanese people eating there. I've eaten here hundreds of times, and there's always local Japanese eating in the restaurant. The thing that's great about this little restaurant is that you can get your sushi fix quick... or be adventurous and try real Japanese food - - and always leave satisfied! With the food being so good, you would expect to pay more.
i have eaten at sushi joes a few times andthe air conditioner never seems tobe operating.
sushi doesnt seen to taste good while watching the sushi chefs sweat while preparing raw fish.
the poor waitress running aound serving in sweaty shirts!!! how fresh canthe food be?
the service is extremely slow aswell and its not the waitress's fault.
seems like poor management.
Its the talk of Doral
Evryone knows about it
and this place actually is ran by REAl Japanese people
this place is my absolute favorite
It has Great food !!!
Has a family like atmosphere.
With the friendly waitresses and the funny sushi chefs who greet you as soon as you enter the place.
The sushi is fresh and authentic.
Not to mention the kitchen food is also fantastic.
From the authentic japanese meat ball to even Churasco !!!
that is amazing.
I LOVE SUSHI JOE !!!!!
Not too pricy and the food is absolutley amazing.
You MUST MUST MUST !
go try it if u already havent.
SUPER FRESH SUSHI! Try SUSHI JOE's UNI ! Can not get that super quality UNI anywhere else! even in Japan! (UNI is not an ordinary sushi though...recommended for a sushi connoisseur.) Rolls are awsome my favorites are Volcano roll, TJB ROLL, Spider Roll, Dragon roll hmmmm Eel roll...I can go on and on. SUSHI JOE's authentic Japanese kitchen food is spectacular too. Champon (hot noodles in tasty broth topped with seafood and veggies )..... is the chicken soup for me. Friendlest atmosphere! Super nice hard working people....they are sooo busy ... good indication of great fresh food.
have a power lunch there and go back @ night. It looks so different. lighting is romantic...is it me or there are so many beautiful people dining there. Maybe something got to do with located right next to Univision. Must have desserts are Ice cream tempura, Thai donuts, Banana Tempura ice cream..........yum .
Did I mention AWSOME AUTHENTIC JAPANESE CUISUINE? GO SUSHI JOE! LOVE YA....

I ate at Sushi Joes for lunch and the service was okay but nothing specatular. Our waitress rushed us and all she did was give us drinks and our food and nothing else, we had to get another waitress to get other items. So we tipped her what she deserved a couple of bucks. When exiting the resturant she then came outside and wondered why we didnt tip her the CUSTOMARY 15%!!! I was shocked at this and requested to see her supervisor to tell him of her unprofessionalism. She then argued with me about how she DESERVED that tip and how it was MANDITORY, I asked her to see the law where that is written.
Long story short is that they just lost a customer and I will never go there again. And if you like to get hassled for money because they think its manditory to tip, then go here.

We tried this place and were quite skeptical of it at firstsince it had the ""hole in the wall look"", but the the friendliest lady sat us down, the menu was extensive, the food came quickly, the sushi was sooo good, and the prices not too shaby either. What can I say it won us over. Awesome little place indeed :)

Went on the recommendations from this site, and I must admit, they were on the ball. The food was TRULY delectable. The surroundings were small, true, but oh so hospitable. It was a relaxed setting that a group, granted not a big group, can enjoy. The service was on the ball and not too overzealous. Did I mention the food was DELICIOUS, and actually quite affordable. I'll definately will be back.
I highly recommend trying it and seeing for yourself

I have gone to this restaurant over 100 times, and the food is excellent. I came down to Miami after living in NYC for 5 years. Sushi Joe is the closest thing in Doral to the excellent sushi I tried in New York City. I would recommend the Volcano Roll and the Dragon Roll as they are my favorite rolls.

Although a small Sushi bar in an easy to miss location, the choice of food in Sushi Joe is excellent. Service is attentive without being over zealous, the environment gives a feel of authenticity and is very well organised. Background music was at an ambient level, meaning Sushi Joe is a great place for catching up on gossip with a friend whilst enjoying good value, tasty food!
