Food was delicious and very well thought out. Great flavor combinations and good service. Nice atmosphere. Desserts were also exceptional.

I was incredibly disappointed by Gwennies. The service was terrible and the food was gross. When I got there, I ordered an entre and a side of eggs that my waitress told me would cost $2.50. The entre was awful, so I only ate the eggs. When the bill came, I noticed that I had been charged $4.25 for the eggs. I objected to this and the waitress stated that because I had eaten the eggs I had to pay the elevated price. I asked her to make an exception and she stated that she would get her manager. She never did. Instead, she came back and stated that the manager had decided that I had "misunderstood" her. Because the "misunderstanding" was my fault, I had to pay the full price for the eggs. I did but I will never pay for or purchase anything else at Gwennies. In my opinion, if you misquote a price to a customer, you cover the cost and if you say that you're getting the manager you do. It's common courtesy.

They have their own chip factory, salsa, made daily right here in Anchorage. Located off Dimond and King street. Two big outdoor decks, we enjoyed our food, libations in the sunshine. For Mexican food in Anchorage you will enjoy, LaMex is my all time favorite ������������

When we arrived they said we had a 30 min wait but there were several tables open only to find same tables open when they sat is down. Very irritating.
