I have a 2010 Honda Accord with 55k miles. May 5, 2018, Engine died, when driving my husband home from hospital after a heart transplant. Took it too Grisham's Transmission in Dickson, TN. It was determined that the engine would have to be replaced. We got the run around for a month and a half about when the car would be ready. They found a used engine that had 66k miles on it. Paid nearly $3k. We picked up the car mid June, and the air conditioner didn't work and took it locally to find Grisham's guys didn't plug it back in right. Another $50. Didn't drive the car much for nearly a month. Husband goes back into hospital for complications with his new heart. I drove back and forth to hospital a few times (Linden Tn to Nashville). Hadn't put 1000 miles on the car yet, and my car dies AGAIN. In the meantime, I had taken car to Waltrips Honda to have airbags replaced as per national recall.)I had to have my car towed to my home for $148, to get home,so I could get another vehicle to drive. (Husband ended up on life support in ICU and I didn't have time to fool with car.) Made many calls to Grishams, most of all went unreturned. When we are FINALLY able to talk to owner, after several days of being promised a call back, he refuses to make it right. We are still within the 7k mile warranty. But he then tells us that "junkyard" motors are only warranted for 90 days. Without looking at the car again, he said that I must've driven the car hot. I did not. (He said my car had been worked on twice since they fixed it, also voiding warranty. Hmmmm, national recall, and had as plugged in. We asked him to have the car towed back up to Dickson and he refused. Grishams does NOT stand behind their work. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone.
Super competent and trustworthy, and absolutely the people I would recommend to everyone. Super fast service - I called in and had only 1 day of wait. Super competent - The owner gave me a complete diagnosis of my car - a broken bracket that was causing the noise and a fuel power issue. Super trustworthy - He referred me to great places for both issues and didn't charge me a dime
Would not use this business again. Have used them several times. Paid for a wheel bearing replacement and alignment. Found out months later neither occurred. Got a flat after 5,000 miles while driving, both brand new front tires ruined. The owner Jeff only offered to give a free alignment. Had to purchase 2 more new tires, wheel bearing replacement, alignment from a reputable auto repair. I will pay a little more to keep myself and family safe.
My family & I have used Grisham's Transmission for the last 15 years. They have a location in Nashville & one in Dickson. They have always been very friendly & honest. I know that when I pick up my car, it is going to be right. It is always a pleasure to do business with Harold & his staff in their very clean shops.
Do not do business with these people. I brought my jeep in to be repaired and not only did they keep it a few days shy of a month but they didn't even fix what I brought it in for. When I came to pick the jeep up they have me a story and told me there wasn't any problems with what I told them that it was just a light coming on issue. So no here my jeep sits not running with the exact issue I had before I took it to them yet I'm out $700 bucks. Great work guys!
Been lied to from day one. Original estimate 1700, actual cost 2800. Timelyness? I've been told every day that it will be done this afternoon, then this evening. Never happened. Been lied to about the problems my truck had just a horrible place. Don't go

These guys are great they fixed my car and loaned me a vehicle while it was being done . The price i paid was seemed fair and my car ran great after the reapir.I was able to get back home . Since i lived out of town thay could have ripped me off but did not they went out of there way to help me out . Home town friendly to strangers .... rare
