We originally reserved a place for my dog at "Tail Wag Inn", upon registration, I walked out with my dog. Tail Wag Inn was crowded, very tiny room for each kennel, stinked with pee smell, and very limited small area for out door play. On a last minute call, Les and Elizabeth, the owners of Pooch Palace, took my dog in. The place is, 1st, much more convenient for if you are staying around lake george and bolton landing areas, 2ndly, everything you can wish for a good dog care place---spacious rooms for the pet, very clean, for five days whenever I went to pick up my dog, never smelled anything like dog accident. The dogs themselves were kept clean as well. They were let out 4 or 5 times a day to play at large out door grass areas. We couldn't have been any happier. And the price? $20/day!! half of that of Tail Wag Inn...but of course, we would have paid whatever if we were happy with the place. After all, a dog care place that you want, is somehwere that will care for your dog as you would do youself. Les and Elizabeth do that for you.

I left my dog in the care of the Pooch Palace in April. I left him there on Wednesday and then drove to Virginia Beach early Thursday morning. I was there for about a half an hour when I received a call from Les saying my dog had gotten out and they could not find him. I was frantic at the thought of my 10 pound dog being lost. After an hour we decided to head home. We drive ten hours home and start looking. No Charlie at this point he was gone for twenty four hours. We spent so much time looking everywhere we put up flyers , put him on websites for missing pets, we did everything to find him. Door to door we went, I will say the neighbors were awesome. Les and Elizabeth did have people looking. Les was out looking also. Five days later I was desperate I was given the number to Packleader pet finders. They came from RI. I thankfully found my dog. My experience with the pooch palace has cost me and my friend our vacation time, Twelve hundred dollars in hotels and Nascar tickets. Eight hundred dollars for a search dog. If I did not hire the search dog I would not have found my dog. I was refunded four hundred dollars. I am thankful I have my dog. If you want piece of mind do not leave your small dog here. He is not the first they have lost.
Les and Elizabeth have looked after our dear Mongo for several years now when we are away on vacation. From sending us email updates, to including photos, we know our Mongo is being well cared for. It takes a special commitment to watch our fur baby as he is a 255 pound English Mastiff. When we tell him he's going to the Pooch Palace he gets all excited, whimpering, tail wagging and dancing. We rest easy knowing that our big baby is in the best of hands. You may see the love of our life on their website.there's only one Mongo!
Absolutely trust Les & Elizabeth with our 2 dogs. Maxx & Tyson are boarded there every year when we vacation in the area. It is a great facility where the dogs have a room not a cage.
Don't use this kennel. The new owners lack the knowledge needed to care for other family pets. They lost my chihuahua and 4 of our 7 day vacation was spent looking for him, and thanks to the kindness of the local neighbors who allowed us on their property and contact, we were able to get him back. A 6 pound chihuahua does not dig a hole under a fence in 3 minutes. And where was the kennel keeper while he was supposedly digging? The property is not maintained or fence line weed wacked to examine for escape areas and pets are not watched outside. The owner will argue they set out traps and notices on poles. We were the searchers 5 times a day and posted all of Bolton Landing businesses . Thank Heaven we found our family member. Don't risk your pets safety here.
