Old men, older men and oldest men. This place is a nearly empty geriatric center. I am from Florida and I have never seen so many old guys anywhere! Closed most of the time. Very nasty membership application process. The owner lives there and he is a scary character. I saw five or six people there on Saturday. Dig a hole and bury this place.

We visit this place every time we visit Detroit. Love the fantastic looking older guys there. Very virile and masculine guys. So what that they're older. We love it.
A lot of super handsome older guys, and even some younger ones too :-) And they aren't shy. Just sexy and handsome. We LOVE this place :-)
Please support it. Love sunbathing outside all summer.
True enough-- if you only like twinks and young-uns, you will probably be disappointed here. (But, hey, you have all the discos to hunt for that!! LOL)
I throughly enjoyed myself everytime i have gone there. The staff is always helpful, and I most always leave with a smile. They could update a few of the facilities, ie, the showers, but over all its a good place to go. Some of the movies are outdated, but it is clean, and fun to go to this place.

Way back, this was a thriving establishment but now it seems to be nothing but older folks. The facilities are clean, the pool is great and one-of-a-kind in the Detroit area, and they have a great outdoor patio for laying in the sun. I go between I'd guess three and six times every summer but, because the clientele is rarely my type, it's often just a place to get away and be lazy.
It's a shame this place has got such a bad rap; the last review here is from 2006 and since then I would guess they've found some new employees; the two that I've worked with are very polite, and one of them, after I had a bad day at work, sensed I was not in the greatest of moods and found me so he could ask me if I wanted a room to rest in (free) and gave me a coupon for a free locker next time I visited. (I said ""No"" to the room and ""Yes"" to the locker, FYI)
The only things I can find wrong that are worth mentioning is that the video screens that are down some of the hallways no longer work, so you can't watch from the benches. But it's mostly because of the clientele that I only gave it three stars; I'm hoping some of you show up so that I can up it to five.

Gay bathhouse of long standing, once a very lively and popular place. Bad management and staff have driven all the customers away. It now serves as a retirement home for a handful of senior citizens who haunt its shadowy corridors. Gutted by fire over a decade ago, the place languished in disrepair while continuing to charge its membership and entrance fees. Only when a new place opened across town did the rooms here get rebuilt, until then you had a silly ""Tent City"". Now rebuilt, it is too little too late. The place is obsessively clean because virtually nobody goes there. Rude, snippy young employees do little to encourage a person to stay, while apparently living in this demented halfway house. Lots of good facilities are totally wasted here, as is your time if you go. Checking in or getting a membership is a worse experience than a customs inspection.
