Astoria Bakery Ripoff

I ordered a birthday cake at 9 am to pick up at 11. The birthday celebration was at 11:30 am. When the birthday girl tried to cut the cake, it was as hard as a rock. While trying to cut a part of it off, the cake slid off the table. Needless to say, this ruined the party. My office staff spent the rest of the party cleaning up. I called the store owner, he told me the cake was frozen. I said I did not order a frozen cake. I ordered a fresh cake. He offered to refund the money for the cake. I sent an employee with the salvagable cake (the remainder was in the garbage) back for the refund and he would not give us a refund. The whole thing was a total rip off. I paid 39.99 for a frozen cake. I would not order anything from this store. Their prices are outrageous and their food is not fresh. They don't tell the customer they are purchasing frozen baked goods. Poor quality and poor customer service.
