Nice people but they told me to go down a one way street that had no sign posted and the snow was horrible, I listened and went down the street as he told me and he gave me an automatic fail with no lenience. I couldn't believe it I was in shock, I did perfect on everything and did the parking great and I failed over him telling me and he knew it wasn't my fault but he said he couldn't change it because I broke the law by going the wrong way on a one way street where he told me to! I'm not familiar with Detroit streets and had no idea it was a one way. They told me to come back and test the next day and I would deff pass. HA sorry no. Never coming back. Mario seemed laid back and understanding wish he would've been my examiner, I had Milton as my examiner. Avoid Milton. ALSO I forgot they were over 30 minutes late on starting our test today! I should've asked for my money back when he was over a half hour late, seriously, very unprofessional.

The workers are professional, and have positive attitudes. They are fair and everyone has an equal chance of passing, regardless of which examiner is chosen (Milton or Mario). My examiner's name was Mario and he was encouraging, patient and thorough. He gave clear directions for every exercise. My advice to future road test takers- read the "Drivers Road Test Study Guide". Which is available in print/download at the Michigan's Secretary of State Office or Website. Make sure you know what to do at a railroad crossing and how to answer the question, "what would you do if a car is coming towards you head on". Yes, you will have to reverse into a parking spot and do parallel parking- be careful not to hit the cones. :)

Well i take my test august 1st 2015 and i am very nervous, my examiner name is Milton... how do you think it is with him?

A family member referred me at HallStarz (A&M driver's testing) called and was able to take my test the next day. I took my road test today and as soon as I walked through the door everyone welcomed me with a smile. My instructor was Mario and he was amazing, encouraging, made me feel comfortable and he followed all rules of the handbook meaning he was very serious about your test. Gave me tips and what I needed to work on! I highly recommend to take your test and any other services here!

I took my test today, which was my first time and I passed! The people there are very positive and welcoming. My instructor was helping me through the process of parking and driving. He even made suggestions so that I could pass. Parking ws the hardest part to me. I was a nerve wreck going in there, but he made me feel comfortable. The area isn't the best, but I'm glad I chose to go here.

I highly recommend going here....

I highly recommend going here. All of the staff is extremely helpful. I was so nervous about taking my test but they were very nice and made me feel comfortable. My instructors name was Milton. He was very helpful and gave me many pointers and tips throughout my test. He seemed surprised when i told him how many good reviews he had. I highly recommend coming here!

Best Service

Me Myself, Am Big On Customer Service.. And Hallstarz in my experience was the Best and Professional.. My examiners Name Was Milton.. He was Very Helpful, Gave Great Pointers and Tips Before We even Started and Made me Comfortable enough to ask Questions.. I will Recommend Anyone To Here. And if for some reason You don't want to choose HallStarz just do yourself a favor and READ THE REVIEWS OF THE DRIVER TESTING FACILITIES AND THEIR EMPLOYEES.. It would've have took me my third try to pass if I Had done so myself. Test Taken on 1/20/15 4pm

Yes Yes and Yes. The best place to take a driving test. Really come here they are real professional. I took my second test here after the horrible experience I have at east Lansing. I was on edge but my examiner really make me feel comfortable. Come here. I'm a foreigner and taking a driving test in a foreign country is a very stressful experience but thee guy really make the whole feel like a breeze. COME HERE

Great Experience!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about A&M Driver Testing. They were very polite, lenient and professional during my road test. They were very clear in their instructions and even gave pointers. I know the area isnt the greatest but you wont find a better driving test place anywhere else. Trust me, I tried setting up an appointment with Johnnys Road Test and they were extremely rude and unprofessonal, especially the owner. I would suggest A&M Driver Testing to anyone who is looking for an good and easy going experience!

Milton, the driving test examiner is a very professional individual. He thoroughly explains every part of the road test and at the end of the test; he critiques every mistake you made. Road test can be highly nerve racking, but he has the ability to set your mind at ease with his pleasant attitude. All the staff members at the A & M driving test office are very professional and greet you with a warm smile. I would highly recommend this place of business to all road test applicants.

I passed on 3/30/14. The instructor was very nice and accomadating . He explained everything from A to Z and was very patient. I highly recommend taking your test at this location and not going to any testing facilities located on Dequindre in Troy.

It only makes sense if you don...

It only makes sense if you dont know how to parallel park you shouldnt be driving. Especially in Detroit where you parallel park practically everywhere! The guy giving the test even gives pointers on how to park correctly. Keep in mind that they are not a driving school but a driver testing center. I took my test here and do not regret it :)
