Best Pizza and Pasta in Detroit Since a small child my whole family of 8 has only eaten Vince's pizza along with many pasta items, along with a thing called pizza bread beef burger the best sandwich I've ever eaten. My favorite Italian restaurant of all time. What is Italian cooking, I say meals prepared with a whole lot of love, where can you get a mother and daughter team creating the most perfect dishes with homemade pastas and sauces. I say bring any in our nation Italian chefs who only supervise a kitchen and the try the magnificent foods at Vince's. They started in there house just behind the current building and expanded in the 50 years of this true homemade foods place. I like to get chef Aldo from that chain to throw-down with Maria on who makes the best pasta and sauces,, she's hands on everyday. Forget about any negative reviews these people haven't eaten there for 40 years like me. This family continues to commit to the freshest homemade foods by a mother and daughter team that can not be found in this world today for 50 years, so spend a couple hours and meet them, they don't hide in the kitchen. They welcome to be apart of there family and yes it takes a little time to prepared the homemade food when not a chain restaurant.
Don't be fooled by the simplicity of this place, it has loads of flavor! I recently went to Supino Pizzeria for dinner in the heart of Detroit's Eastern Market. I highly recommend stopping there for lunch or dinner. We started with a very green, very fresh salad with a red wine dressing. It was sooooo tasty. I would go back for the salad alone. Then for our pizza we chose the El Greco, a greek style pizza with olives and feta cheese. We also added on a single slice of pepperoni pizza. Both were great! The single slice is huge and would be great for lunch. The service was prompt and the restaurant clean. The inside decor is minimal but very cool with an industrial/antique look to it. Large wooded spoons and brushed metal objects adorn the walls framed in wooden trays. The windows face out for a great view of the main square at Eastern Market. I recommend checking out the market and stopping by Supino Pizzeria for lunch after. It's great to have a high quality, local restaurant to support and not just another chain. I'd go back any day!
This place has recently opened in Detroit. I have not really heard of it besides their new opening. I was intially quite intrigued by the "deep dish" chicago style pizza. I thought i would give it one shot to either make the deal or break it. I am very picky about cleanliess and staff behavior. And Gambino's really did satisfy my every expectation in the deep dish pizza. It is worth every penny. Other pizzarias charge triple what Gambino's is now charging their customers. I was in awe when i walked in to place my order, it has a great family seating arrangement that i did not expect. You and your family can enjoy their selection in the restaurant, and you can order to go. The staff was extremely curtious and nice every single time that i have been there. If you are picking up, i would advise you to call ahead so that their is no wait. But all in all, since my first visit, i have not yet ordered from any other pizzaria in the Dearborn/Detroit area. If you ghave not had the chance to try it yet. You are missing out. !
Gracie's is the by far the best pizza I have EVER had!!! They use the best ingredients and really make every pizza with love. And it's not just the pizza that's amazing. Everything on the menu is incredible. They have a dish called the Godfather. It's like 3 pounds of pasta, meat, veggies, sauce, and melted cheese. If you eat it all in an hour you get a free shirt that says "I whacked the Godfather" and they take you picture and put it up. The service is great, the food is great, the prices are great. Make sure to check it out!!! Oh and by the way they just won at the International Pizza contest for the best pizza in the US. So you know they know what they're doin'!!!
Hello to anybody whose listening Greggs pizza puts the boom in the bomb .I have been going to greggs since I was a child that was early 70's we'd go to greggs look thru the windows and watch the guys toss the pizza it was just a wonderful part of the process. now they do thing a lot faster and yet some how they kept the great taste. I know longer live in Detroit but you can best believe when I do come home ,I got's to have greggs. Thanks for maintaining that same good taste..p.s they miss rated you it should have been rated a 10 it must be the staff and not the food. At-any-rate customer/soldier for life. For real For real
The delivery took 2 hours. I was told it would be 45- 1 hour. The driver refused to bring my pizza to the door. Made me come to the parking lot. Then basically said he did me a favor by coming at all. The pizza was super cold but after microwaving, it was decent. The prices are really high. Driver forgot my 2 liter Coke, but returned with it when I called him. I'll only eat here again if I'm near starving. Food ok. Service sucks. Called for a manager. Was put on hold forever til I just hung up.

Wow! This pizza is fantastic! The greek pizza brought out the greek in me! I loved the feta, only the best quality ingredients. The slice I ordered was very generous. I have yet to find a pizzeria in the "D" that offered this many gourmet choices. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere. Convenient location in Eastern Market. I would recommend this to all my friends and family. Can't wait to go back!
I am living in deep south texas now BUT i grew up just around the block from labella pizza on cabot and i grew up on this pizza. Since iv been here in texas i have been craving this pizza. Garalinos Pizza has some of the best barbecued ribs, in town. The meat is always tender and flavorful. The sauce is a delight on the tongue. It's spicy enough for those of us who like a "little" kick! The ribs are presented on a generous bed of waffle fries. Of course the fries soak up the sauce, giving them even more flavor. Delicious!
