Wonderful church and parish. Monsignor Trapper is a phenomenal leader and priest. The members are so friendly and welcoming. Awesome choir, more like Baptist than Catholic. The type of church you would want to call home. Activities 24/7!
What a ripoff !!! After making the appt. the first thing they did was send me a non-refundable disclosure email. Should have been a clue. But we went anyway, only for my child to fail the test.... And the first thing the instructor says is NEXT TIME YOU COME IN. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THERE WON'T BE A NEXT TIME. They are only out for the money!!!! Never patronize this place!!!!
Hi no good training hir no good more charege me weri more charge
I love the male teachers: Gallanow, Willmet, and the gym teacher Mr. Russell. All great role models in a female dominated profession of teachers. Dave Torma
I loved The kindergarden at Ford school in the 40's. It was a separet school house with two rooms. My favorite was the sand box and my teacher Miss Macllen (sp) .I remember a girl named Jean Schram and another Sally Jackman.( her father owned Jackman hardware} Great experience. Darlene Luka Ewald

I have many great memories of this church. (Our family (Jalynski's) belonged to this parish when I was about 10 yrs. old. My three younger brothers (Tom, Greg & Danny) attended school there and made their first holy communion as well. I made my confirmation there, my older brother Albie & sister Sandy did also. Well, I could go on & on. This did put me back in time.
Holy Cross is a wonderful piece of Detroit history. The congregation includes many of the best people that I know, and the pastors are wonderful. My family has been part of Holy Cross for years, and some of my friends for generations. Anyone who wants a taste of Hungarian History, Detroit History, and a place to become closer to God should stop by and support this wonderful place.M
