        We are a family style campground featuring 30 full service 40'x60' sites w/20/30/50 amps. (16 pull thru sites for big rigs) Each site includes nice grass with a picnic table on a concrete pad, fire ring, soft water, sewer, electricity, 34 TV channels & Wi-Fi. We have a Recreation Hall with free foosball, ping pong, pool, air hockey, kitchenette area for potlucks, and restrooms w/showers. Our office has a small store, free coffee, restrooms w/showers, firewood & Laundromat. Outdoors features chipper golf, volleyball, 2 large playgrounds, basketball, horseshoes, swings & paddleboats. Within a few minutes is the mile long beach, fishing, golf, mini golf, amusement park & nature hiking.         Delightful Camping Experience

        My husband and I and our 2 little dogs enjoyed our one night stay while passing through on our way to Canada and once again on our way home. Peaceful and beautiful country setting. Very clean sites and facilities. Owners were very helpful and accommodating.

        we felt judged..

        My girlfriend and i stayed here and felt very judged at this campground.None of the campers around us were friendly at all,my girlfriend slipped a swear word out and the owner (todd) made it a point to tell me that it was inappropriate,i drove through the campground doing 10 mph and once again Todd flagged me down in front of other campers and chastised me about my speed and about the safety of children when it was after dark and i was doing a whopping 10 mph!! Also quiet time is at 10 p.m. and you have to buy their wood instead of bringing your own and frankly the wood they sell you sucks.Personally this is a very controlled campground that just wants their own type of people there and outsiders are not welcomed.Or at least made to feel this way once your payment to them has been recieved.

        Overall

        We rolled into Detroit Lakes just before dark tired, and looking for a campground. Found Country Campground on the GPS, so we proceeded to drive there. When we arrived the office was closed, but to our amazement we saw man with a friendly smile walking in our direction. Todd opened the office for us, and welcomed us in. To top it off, he helped us set up camp. In the morning Todd had hot coffee ready of us all in the office. Highly recommend staying at Country Campground!!!
