Mickle Electric Heating, Inc SAVED us $4,412.56. It is a pleasure for me to recommend Mickle Electric Heating, Inc. They work with precision, integrity, honesty and reliability. I live in Madison, WI and my mother-in-law lives in DesMoines, IA. She had one of her sons call a company from Colfax, IA to install a couple of replacement outlets. The electrician went through the house and told them they needed more work done and it was dangerous for them to be living in the house. My mother-in-law was scared to death. They paid for the outlets that were installed that day and signed an estimate agreement for the additional work. Thinking this was high, I was asked by my husband to look it over. The estimate totaled $6,287.56, with a new 200 Amp Panel replacement taking up $3,617.09 of that total. The remaining costs were designated to ground electrical service, which we found was already grounded, replace 3 open bulb closet fixtures, install a light bulb at the top of the stairs, put cover plates on three boxes and replace 12 GFCI outlets. There was also a water heater disconnect. Least I forget, they charged her $89.00 to get 15% off of, work done by them in a year. I will agree that these things needed to be done, but at what level of intimidation and cost?
I got online and looked for other electricians in the Des Moines, IA area. I came upon Mickle Electric & Heating, Inc. I contacted Terry Mickle, owner of Mickle Electric.He said he could meet me that afternoon. I took off from Madison, WI right away. Mr Mickle went through the house, and was shown the same things that the company from Colfax, listed. He was appalled by their estimate and the fear that was instilled into my mother-in-law and brother in-law. He was disgusted and felt these people gave the electrical industry a bad name.
The work was done by Bob Neely & Todd Fugua of Mickle's, They were diligent, competent and fair. Thank you Terry for employing the best.
The bill came to $1,875.00. Give them a call!

Good service and follow up after the fact just all too often seem to be old fashioned in the world we live in today. I had a poor experience with the first company that I called out to handle what I assumed would be minor issues at my home. They were rude and did poor work leaving oversized and unneccesary holes in the walls. Needless to say, I had to stop them short of finishing all of the work when they told me there was little they could do about it.



Thankfully a friend of mine from church suggested I try Mickle Electric to finish the work on the minor re-wire at my home. THANKFULLY I DID ! They were kind enough to inform me of everything that was going to take place in my home before doing it, and advise me of my options. When they were finished the work was clean very professional as I had expected in the first place. Not only that, but the men that did the work was couteous and proffessional AND they cleaned up the mistakes that the other company had made - FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE.
