        Watch out for these guys!! I h...

        Watch out for these guys!! I have worked there and I can tell you this.........This company makes a profit margin of any where from 65% to as high as 95% on every single repair they do. They check every job before they quote to you to make sure they are at least making a 65% increase off of you!! Buyer beware!!!! Oh and this is on parts only. Not even counting the labor rate!!! Steer clear....You better worry if you call the Car-X man. Hold on to your wallet!!!

        Response to Car-X Steve: You utilize a software program called RO Writer. In this program as you add the cost of the part, you can clearly higlight the part, click on it to enter YOUR Cost of the part and then the system is designed to mark the part up 65%. For all you good folks in Des Moines/Ames area, ask the Manager to show you on the computer. Tell them to double click on the part, this will bring up another window, then ask them to hit the button that says CALCULATIONS.....This is what they use, to make sure that their margins are in check, with what the owner expects.
