First time getting my nails done and I love it. Had my nails in for 3 months. Price for nail I pay $40
This was my first time going to Nellyville to have my natural hair done. My sister recommended her and it was for my birthday. I must say I am a difficult person to please and have not been to a hair salon in over 6 years or more. The atmosphere is real nice and you feel welcomed when first come in. Nell is great, her knowledge and experience with hair is outstanding and she has a great personality. Decent conversation to help by past the time and efficient work compared to some of the other places I've been. I didn't think I would ever have a beautician in Des Moines until I met Nell. Thanks for the great experience!
My stylist is Danika. She cuts hair amazingly! When I was in the hospital and the lady was trying to style my hair for me, she made a comment on the cut of my hair. She now sees Danika! The other stylists that are there are so very friendly. It has a wonderful atmosphere and great products that can be purchased.I strongly strongly strongly advise going to the niche.
At first it seemed ok but then my sister and I were both getting our nails done and he was jumping back and fourth between us which I have never been to a place that would do that, for instance he would file my nails then hers, place tips on then do hers and so on. Then the nails were not even at all he didn't even use the same size for the fingers on the opposite hand which made them look very awkward and they were different lengths which made it even worse. So the worst part about this is spending money on crappy and apparently cheap product because they looked grown out and I have short nails to begin with in 3 days they shouldn't look like I have had them for 3 weeks or more and one of my nails popped off then a week later another and it now has not been two weeks and all of my nails have came off I feel like we were ripped off and I suggest that people think twice before choosing this place.
I'm wondering if a fellow by the name of Ed Savage is the owner of this salon? I knew a stylist by that name in Des Moines in 1980. And yes people got their hair done way back then.
I love this place they are so nice and always do a very good job. I recommend Herve to come bye And get there nails done
I have been going for awhile now and love this place. I always have the older lady do my nails and she takes her time and does a great job!
If you want acrylics I would not recommend this place unless you can get the oldest gal there. She did an amazing job on my moms but the gal that did mine did a horrible job! Almost all of the nails she glued on had a unnatural lift to them like pointing upwards and then when I asked her to fix it she ran a file over it ONCE! She kept turning around to watch the tv while still doing my nails so that explains things. Then they were shaped super uneven and she was all around messy with the polish application. Also the salon is dusty so when My nails were drying under the curing lamps dust had settled all over my nails making them look even worse. So if you get the gal that has the little sign on her lamp that says worlds best manicurist BEWARE! Other than that they had a decent selection of nail polishes...
They did not honor our appointment when we were in a time crunch. I had been there once before and they would not fix the nail that was smudged either.
They are very dirty and don't throughly clean their utensils. They also did not honor my appointment when I came and tried to kick other customers out when we said they didn't honor our appointment. Not considerate, awful customer service.
