        General Info
        Dr. Pence received his bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University, and his doctorate from the UNC School of Dentistry. He received his Mastership in General Dentistry in 1992, and has just been named the first dentist in the Carolinas to receive the prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. The Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition is presented only to qualifying Masters of the AGD. Mastership is one of the most respected designations in dentistry. Masters who receive this additional recognition have met the highest criteria for professional excellence. To receive the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition, Dr. Pence completed more than 3,000 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 850 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques and more than 400 hours of service to the community. He has maintained a full-time practice in Denver since 2005. He currently serves as trustee of the North Carolina Dental Society. He was former visiting faculty and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Pence has been selected by a vote of his peers to be included in the latest edition of “The Best Dentists in America" (sm) He has served as President of the UNC Dental School Alumni Association, a member of the Lincoln County Board of Education, an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, and as Lincolnton Rotary Club’s delegate to the International Meeting. He is married with two sons.

        Dr. Pence and his staff were incredible, I can't say enough about his integrity! I was highly impressed with his willingness to listen and go over every detail. Even if there was nothing in the end of it for him. He has a passion for what he does and you can tell it. Oh and have you seen his credentials that alone is impressive!

        Dr. Pence and his staff are excellent. Got an appt right away. Had a terrible Toothache. I was in and out of the office so fast. Dr . explained all my options about my cracked tooth. No pressure no selling up like some dentists I have been to. Love his sense of humor. His wife is a sweetheart. Never looked forward to seeing a dentist until now. Dr. Pence even called my house that evening to check on me. Hope he works till he is 100! Can't say enough nice things about this practice. .. thank u! I can eat again yummy

        Today's dental visit

        I had broken a tooth over the weekend,and called Dr Pence's office at 9 am this morning. The receptionist was so helpful and sweet setting up an emergency work in for me,with directions to the office.Once i arrived I filled out paper work and was quickly seen...Dr Pence was very professional but with a great sense of humor,made me feel very at ease and comfortable...his assistant was top notch and very friendly. ..I cannot say enough of how highly pleased I am with my visit today...he definitely has a new patient...and i will recommend him and his staff to everyone i know....

        Ever meet a person so very good at what they do that you would travel great distances to get back to them for help? Dr. Pence is that type of person.
