I'd really rate this as 2.5. The inside was really nice, modern, yet comfortable feeling. The staff was really nice, and the bathrooms were clean. We each ordered the $9 special where you get your own margarita pizza, salad, and drink, and you could then pick two toppings(I ordered kalamata olives on mine). The salad was very good, but the pizza was lacking flavor. It just didn't taste like anything special. The bottom of my pizza was a little soggy- I thought it would have been crispy because of the coal fire, but it wasn't. It was definitely enough food, but the pizza was just average. They left too much of the crust showing, when they could have put more of the sauce and toppings on it too. I would not go back to Marco's- there's got to be a better place in Lodo especially with all the restaurants in the area.

From Business: Mangiamo Pronto!, which means "let's eat now!," is a modern cafe in lower Downtown Denver with an Italian espresso and wine bar feel. We serve breakfast, lunch, h…
We have been eating here for a good dozen years. As we live miles away it is only a few times a year. We ordered calzones on our first visit and have mostly stuck with them. We tried pizza one time and found it very good but the square pizza at Lechuga's is our preference. Now back to the calzone. For our taste, the best we have found so far. Not quite as large as the old days and on occasion the calzone bread is a little flat. We never had a service issue worth mentioning. Whenever we are in the area, its Carl’s for lunch.
I've lived in North Denver all my life, even worked at Carl's for a while. They have the best sausage sandwiches around and if you like a Lil kick ask for U & H chili on top. Wish they would go back to Pepsi® instead of coke but I'll always love Carl's pizza... for those that are worried that it changed because of Carl's passing, John has been there since he was 16 and has been making everything for years... no worries same great taste!
Some of the best pizza I ever ate! Better than what I ate in Italy during the war, but the same kind. fresh sauce, fresh herbs good cheese cooked long to bring out the flavor. and that crust!! man, you gotta check this place out! Bring your dame and go to the connected P S lounge for a free shot and a rose for the ladies, always! You won't look like such a schmuck after these digs. The younger generation likes it plenty too.
I was hoping for a good hole in the wall place, but I got a mediocre every other type of place. The prices aren't bad, but the fact you get stale cold cheese pizza with a few toppings you wanted tossed on to be heated for a few minutes in an oven makes you want to stay clear. Perhaps if it were fresh or they cared about what was served it would be worth the return. For now, there are so many other places, better places.
The pizza was a bit greasy, but as close to NY style pizza I have found in Denver. It is thin and sloppy and super cheesy, which is how I like my pizza. If you are looking for a thick crust or hearty pizza this is not for you. The Anthony's on Wads in Arvada even has a kids play area with toys, tables, and a vcr with kid movies. They always have good lunch specials too.
Not really in Castle Rock, but in Castle Pines, about 20 minutes from downtown and they do not deliver. Their other Italian menu items are worth the price. If you are passing close and like NY STYLE pizza this is among the very best in the area, if you live in Castle Rock, however, try Stumpys, a notch better especially in their new facility. Joe
I had pizza delivered to my hotel room and they didn't charge a delivery fee. That was cool. The pizza was good & reasonably priced. Since this place received a five star rating my expectations were high. I don't think most pizza conisours would agree with the five star rating, but it's better than chain pizza places.
I have only had their delivery but have had it many times. Delivery times are pretty consistently under an hour, closer to 45 minutes. The regular crust pizza is unique and tastes quite good. Strombolis, Pasta, and Canoli are also good. Unfortunately, I have experienced some of the rude service reported in other reviews.
I love having this place in the neighborhood. They have one of the best deals on craft canned beer on Tuesday nights. But go prepared to eat way more than your fill. The pizza is ridiculously good! The special is always my favorite. Thanks for being close by, guys! You are the perfect neighborhood joint.
