I dropped my healthy and happy dog off for one day (1/7/2017) and picked him up the next (1/8/2017) and found him in severe pain and with obvious swelling of his mouth and testicles. They posted a photo of him the day I dropped him off (imgur.com/NTnX1p0) and when I got him the next day, he looked like this, (imgur.com/a/jHp5h). The swelling (red area) you see on the bottom of his mouth isn't normal and how nobody didn't know that is beyond me. When I picked him up at the daycare, he was whimpering and barely responsive to us. The staff thought that his behavior and looks were normal even though they took a photo of him the day before and saw how he was acting the day before.

The emergency vet we brought him to said was chemically burned (caustic burns). Nobody at "U Lucky Dog Daycare" seemed to know what happened and the manager wasn't present and wasn't able to be contacted. Hours later, she (Abi Mondragon) still never called until I called again and told them I was calling the police and a lawyer next.

What is odd is that we paid money to have his photo taken and be put on their Facebook page so we can see him while we were on travel. After we picked him up and saw his state of health, his healthy photo (first one I posted) was removed from their Facebook page. Hmm, I wonder why? I had a bad suspicion that something was up when I dropped him off and they wouldn't allow me to even see the room he was going to stay in. For all I know, he was kept in a room that wasn't suitable for dogs in the first place. Someone definitely didn't give us the full story. It took my dog over 3 months to recover and he still has permanent scarring on his mouth.

Never again will we take our dog to this place.
