We decided go to Washington Park Grille as a part of a Mothers day weekend event on Saturday. This once was one of Denver's great restaurants but not any more! The food was poorly prepared; we waited over an hour for our food; and the staff lied about the issues. Don't waste your money and time here. So many other great places to try.
What a shame!

I didn't know it was whining to report your experience at a restaurant.,,
We went to Washington Park Grille on the advice of a friend, and it was one of the few times we've ever complained about the food at any restaurant. Three of us there, all three of us found quality issues with the main course. The waiter was not interested in making any corrections or even to hear our criticisms.
The atmosphere was great, and not everything we had was bad, but for the price we expect a certain over all quality. The wait staff should always be at least willing to pass on feedback to the kitchen and manager, without being cocky or short. We'll be reluctant to try it again, and that's not our fault but theirs.

I have eaten here several times over the past 10 years and have decided that over the past few years, the food has gotten worse and the management doesn't care about their customers. The manager is a very rude lady and I know there are much better places to dine where they appreciate their customers.

did the groupon thing and once we walked in they asked us if we would like the dining area or the patio, October guy it's cold. We told our waitress Meagan we were going to use a groupon and she switched menus for us. I ordered the steak and my girl ordered the chicken. Our food was ok but Meagan could use a lesson in manners and hospitality. first time customers and this is how we were treated, will we return? We will have to think very hard about that.
I'm really sick of always reading about the negative. It seems that nobody writes about the positive. Wash Park Grille is amazing. I'm new in town and a neighbor recommended Wash Park Grille so I searched it and read reviews. Almost everything was negative. Poor service, bad atmosphere, bad food. Well I checked it out on my neighbor's recommendation and was blown away. I had a caesar salad, that was crunchy and delicious and the Ahi tuna, which was AMAZING!!! The wine list is broad and well selected, and the Key Lime Pie...Words don't describe. I'm from south Florida and have had my share of Key Lime Pie, this pie stands up to any standard, even mine.
I'm really disappointed that I read so many poor reviews of a restaurant that I have fallen in love with. I went in for lunch and my server suggested the Lobster Club, drop what you're doing and go order it.
Service was great. Friendly, knowledgeable (a tiny bit slow when it was super busy, but duh, it's busy)
Ultimately, I'd recommend this place to anyone and when my friends visit, Wash Park Grille is where we're going. Lunch or dinner.
Don't take the rants of people who aren't satisfied because they weren't pampered over lunch or dinner. If you want good service and incredible food, read past the whiners and go to Wash Park Grille. You won't regret it.
One thing, parking is tough. I guess they have free valet but I had trouble finding it. That's the only bad thing I can say.
After reading the review of Wash Park Grille on a Denver food blog, my husband and I decided to check it out. What a great experience! The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised. Huge wine list and awesome menu. My only problem was deciding on what to order. I went with the Ahi Tuna upon our servers recommendation and it was to die for. I would highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

Wash Park Grill has horrible food. Good service and good drinks, but the food is bad. They make their $12 Lobster Mac and Cheese with nacho cheese. I asked the waitress what kind of cheese was in it and she said ""It's a different kind of cheese."" After further questioning about what that meant I got, ""It's a pre-made cheese sauce."" Really? $12 LOBSTER mac and cheese with a cheese sauce? Unacceptable.

WPG is everything that Cherry Creek Grille is not! The food is wonderful, delicious layered flavors, wonderful presentation and prices that are truly fair. The buffalo burger is juicy, and topped with wonderful condiments--and the french fries are crisp and tasty. Their salads are plentiful and so flavorful. And the wait staff...FANTASTIC. They are polite, well versed in the menu, funny and don't mind chatting with customers. because I have frequented WPG, there are times they will comp my dinner and my friends as well. That's what I call excellent customer service and care.
I have taken my picky family to WPG, new members of our faculty and a few deans or two. Everyone is always thrilled with the fare, the service and the ambiance.

I should have gone by the reviews that I read. The staff was boring and attentive at all. The food was less than appealing, I ordered the chicken marsala and the sause was way too thin and the chicken was blah. The rest of my parties food was just ok, 1 of the 4 of us was satisfied with their dinner.
Would not go back, there are many more restaurants in Denver and surronding areas with much better food, atmosphere, service and much better priced. I don't mind paying if the food is good

Went for 5280 week and we were incredibly disappointed. I've literally had better chicken at banquets. Rubbery, tasteless, and for $52.80 horribly over-priced. The artichoke dip was passable, but I've had better at pizza places. We were a group of four and the service was just okay - we felt as though we were more of an inconvenience than anything else though. I always thought restaurants used 5280 week to introduce their food to possible new customers - but we won't be back - ever.

I have been to Wash Park Grille twice with high hopes and have been let down. The first time I went for happy hour (which has some great deals), but we found a piece of plastic on our dip. The waiter appropriately comped that item, but it wasn't a great first impression.
The second time, we had dinner and drinks. First of all, I think that the dinner items are way over priced. We both ordered steak and it was not good at all. It tasted charred, the potatoes were bland and the broccoli was terrible.
I want to like this restaurant, because I do like the atmosphere, but I probably will not go back.

I just love this restaurant. The atmosphere is moderately upscale yet cozy. Winters in the dining room near the fire place are my favorite. They have a decent wine selection and the cheese sampler plate is perfect for sitting and talking and snacking and sipping wine. :) The Grilled Hearts of Romaine salad is delicious-I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven't. Sadly, they tend to have the same menu year after year with nothing really new and fun for the regulars to experiement with--still the food is good, the staff is great and the atmosphere is unbeatable.

I started eating at Wash Park a couple of years ago and was impressed right away. The atmosphere is ""old school"" with brick everywhere. I've eaten at the bar when I didn't want to wait for a table and it was just as good. The bartenders and servers are always kind, informative and helpful when selecting entrees and wine pairings. The only drawback is the street parking but last time I was in I discovered the free valet service and that made all the difference. I'll continue eating and drinking at Wash Park as long as I'm living in Denver.
