This restaurant has a nice ambiance You can hear everyone pretty well. The music is kept at a nice low but audible level. The wine is amazing and the food overall is pretty good. Well priced. A nice sit-down place if you don't mind a bit of a wait. Good customer service. Nice waiters. Comfortable chairs and booths with plenty of space. Elegant decorations. I liked it a lot. :)

Great place, excellent drinks and ambiance and energy. It was easy to talk even though the restaurant had many happy customers. Went for a late brunch on Sunday May 13th with two others. We all ordered the 4 (FOUR) egg omelet which had excellent ingredients and very tasty with great flavor. However, there were hardly any ingredients except a good sized slice of mozzarella cheese. AND the FOUR egg omelet must have been made with 4 quail eggs, as it was not FOUR chicken eggs. We each looked at other in amazement at our.1 (ONE) egg selection. We asked the waiter and the manager came over and explained that it was cooked in a certain type of pan and that's why it didn't look like four eggs. I couldn't believe the explanation. Overall very good drinks and food.

Went to Lola monday night and found out they had All Night Happy Hour. The drinks are amazing, cucumber lemonade and 5 dollar margaritas all go great with the food. We sat on the patio and loved it...but wished for bar height tables in order to enjoy the view of Denver. Overall this place is great, decor is amazing and you will love the food and atmosphere. Great for a date or to spend time with friends.

I visited Vita for the first time on one of Denver's gorgeous 60 degree winter days. It took over 20 minutes to get a glass of wine (it was not busy), I finally had to ask the server if I could order and he rudely told me I needed to wait. The service was horrible, I got the impression that the staff felt we shoudl be lucky to be patrons at their restaurant. I live in the area, Vita has such an ideal setting with a beautiful view of downtown Denver, the perfect summer day hangout. My experience was shared with our fellow patrons that had the same experience. I would think that a local restaurant would appreciate the the business of local patrons and give them an experience they want to come back and enjoy.

We celebrated my bf's 30th birthday this Friday at Vita and it had an awesome time. We had reservations and got there early so had mojitos on the roof top and the view was amazing. Our server for dinner was wonderful, very attentive, and made great suggestions. Neither of us knew if we liked scallops so we tried the scallop app on our servers suggestion and it was absolutely delicious! Our dinners were both tasty, as well. The server heard it was my bf's birthday and gave us a comp champagne toast. The jazz music was great during dinner. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Vita and cannot wait to go back!!!!!

I have lived in North Denver my entire life and am sorry to say that I have never experienced Vita until this past weekend. I tend to frequent the ""older"" neigborhood restaurants like Gaetano's and Rosa Linda's, but heard about this spot from a close friend who swore it would be great for a ""special occassion"".
My wife, son and I were celebrating my son's 24th Birthday this past Friday night, so we gave it a try. The place was absolutely packed and we had to wait for about 30 minutes for a table. However, once our table was ready, we were all delighted that we were seated in one of their special round booths that we had been admiring for the previous half hour.
Our server Tim was exceptional. My wife tried one of the martinis off the menu and was thrilled, while my son and I enjoyed their Italian draft beer. Dinner was very nice, the only thing that perhaps could have been better was my steak was a bit overcooked. Immediately after dinner a manager approached with a round of complimentary champagne and some very kind words for my son and his celebration, great touch. We had their delicious doughnut dessert and left wonderfully impressed. We will return in the very near future, perhaps on a week night when the roof isn't bumper to bumper!!

I went to Vita for a business lunch. We sat on the rooftop and I was pleasantly surprised at all of the menu options. Three or four items stood out and I decided on a small plate- the ceviche. Very simple, very nicely presented. I also discovered that they use natural chicken- very much appreciated! The only thing that made me sad was that I could not order one of the beautiful summery cocktails going by me. They looked absolutely delicious and I will definitely be back to try one...or three! =)

The atmosphere and service was very nice, but the food was terrible. My shrimp was over cooked and had that rubber texture and taste, and the Tuna Tartar had some parts that you could not chew up. I won't go further. The service and the atmosphere was very nice.

I have been meaning to write a review for this place for weeks and finally got around to it. I stumbled upon Vita about 2 months ago, wandering around the lower highlands in search of a spot for a late night drink. The dark, seductive lighting and ""mood music"" playing softly from the outdoor speakers inspired me to give it a go. I was VERY pleased to find out that THESE GUYS KNOW MOJITOS! Rum has always been a ""passion"" of mine you could say, and when I ordered my Pear Mojito, I was blown away, literally one of the best drinks I have ever tasted. The gentleman behind the bar...who I would later find out is the General Manager...humored me and my cocktail preferences by chatting with me about a cane rum they kept ""secret"" behind the bar. I cant remember the name, but he allowed me a small taste of this delicious stuff as I enjoyed my drink. So far, so good.
I decided to bring in 2 of my close friends, both visiting from Chicago, for my first go at dinner. The manager was hosting the dining room and recognized my ugly mug right away! A friendly greeting that made me look like a mild celebrity in front of my guests. He showed us to one of their sleek booths, which pleased all of us and created the ""mood"" that would carry us through our dinner. Our server, Erin, approached quickly and informed us of our wonderful luck. 1/2 PRICE WINE ON TUESDAYS!! As we perused the wine list, Erin assisted our search by recommending, perhaps, the finest bottle of wine I have ever enjoyed. I DO remember the name of this one, the Tor Mast Cabernet. Amazing. Then the food arrived, which was equally exceptional. The Scallops were fantastic, the Steak cooked to perfection, and the best of all was the SeaBass which was the special of the evening. My guests and I were beyond content.
After 2 weeks I decided to try Vita yet again, this time with my buddies from the highlands. We were pleased to find out their rooftop bar and seating area was open! We, again, took advantage of Tuesday night wine special and ordered another bottle of the Tor Cabernet immediately. Even better than the last time! After downing this one pretty fast, we decided to go for another. But tragedy struck; it was the last bottle!!! The Manager happened to be nearby when this happened and hurried over with a humble apology and quick tongue. His startling knowledge of their wines and tasteful sales pitch moved us onto another bottle of Cabernet that was nearly as wonderful. We also discovered that they had made a menu change in the meanwhile, and sure enough, my SeaBass made the cut! Myself and 1 of my guests ordered this, and were just as impressed as last time. My other pal ""accidentally"" ordered the Mushroom Ravioli, which he did not enjoy. Im not sure how you ""accidentally"" order the wrong thing, but my careless buddy admitted to his faux pas. When our server discovered this, he had a new menu down on the table within seconds, again with great recommendations. The Pork Tenderloin arrived soon after, everyone was happy. Another amazing night at Vita, this time in the comfort of the outdoor skyline views.
I could continue to rave about this place, but I think you get the picture. Their food, wine, staff, and attention to detail puts this restaurant on the top of my list.

Went there on a Tuesday randomly and I was mildly surprised when I found out everything was 1/2 off that was alcohol. Me and my date took a seat at the bar and the bartender was just perfect: knowledgeable, slightly cocky, quick with the humor, and kept my date having a good time. He even gave us a taster of some moscato d'asti. Every bottle of wine and champagne was 1/2 off the list, from a 30 dollar bottle to Dom Perigon at 400.. that made me smile. We got some food and here's the downside to this fun little nock, its slightly pretentious. I got the sliders and she got the halibut. Her dish was a healthy portion and tasted delicious. Now I know sliders are bar food but looking around I figured I'd get what I pay for. Not so. The sliders are a little smaller than most places and they garnish the plate with chips; garnish. I had to buy a basket of chips just to make it seem like a meal. All in all the decor is great, the atmosphere is lively, the bartender rememberable, but the food portion, for what you pay for, was not.
I love this place! Having had explored many of Denver's restaurants them, I rank Vita among the best. The energy is young and urban but not pretentious. The rooftop deck has phenomenal city views and is equipped with heaters that actually work for little girls like myself who get cold easily. The wine list and drink menus have some great unique options and the food selection is broad enough that no matter what you are looking for, you can typically find something to scratch your itch - I highly recommend it.
My husband and I went to Vita for the first time last week for our anniversary. We were pleasantly suprised to find a sophisticated, modern atmosphere that was matched by a sophisticated and excellent menu. I was looking for a light and healthy option and my husband, being more of a meat and potatoes man, was looking for a hearty meal. We were both thrilled with our choices and have been raving about it since. We typically like to explore new places, but we have both expressed that our next night out will be back to Vita.
Vita is my favorite roof bar in Denver. I have had dinner there a number of times and have always enjoyed the food. My girlfriends and I recently had our weekly girls lunch there and really liked the lunch menu (I had the Chinese chop salad, one of my girlfriends had the Cubano pork sandwich, which she loved, two of my other friends shared the tuna tartare and kobe sliders - they were very happy with both). Beyond the food, the roof deck was a great setting for our lunch - we all commented on how great the lunch and experience was and we will definitely be back!

I have never experienced such slow service at any restaurant in Denver. I brought my family here before going to the Nuggets playoff game. We had two hours to eat lunch, which seemed like plenty of time. But, after sitting on the rooftop for almost an hour and a half we started to get a bit antsy. Our waitress completely ignored us. When we finally asked about our food she came back with three out of six plates. The other three meals were not served for another 20 minutes. We tried to cancel our food because it was taking so long. And when the food finally did arrive it was terrible. I had the worst piece of burnt chicken atop bagged lettuce - something I could have made at home for much less than the $150 we wasted at Vita. We missed the first half of the playoff game and felt sick from scarfing down the terrible food.
I was so excited to try this new restaurant in my neighborhood that I had even bought a gift certificate. I didn't have it with me and now wish I had never bought it because I have absolutely no desire to ever go back.
Unless you are just going for drinks and you don't mind waiting for them, stick with Lola's next door - it is much better!

I experienced Vita with my friend and his family over a month ago. My friend was doing research on different restaurants trying to decide where to apply as a server. I thought Vita was fine, it didn't knock my socks off, but I'm not that picky of a person. However, I enjoyed the establishment itself and felt that it's location would prove to be busy even in our current economy. So, my friend applied. After having spoken to ""the manager"" and being interviewed a couple of times in person, my friend felt that this just might be a good fit. However, after the final interview, a call back was promised for the next day and we all eagerly awaited the decision. The next day, no call. My friend did call back to check the status and left a message. Apparently that night ""the manager"" left a message on my friends cell phone and a text message. That was my first clue....how professional was it that this ""manager"" called my friend from his cell phone and also sent a text saying ""sorry, forgot to call..will get in touch with you tomorrow"". Let's jump ahead...2 weeks later..still no call, but not a definate ""no"" because this ""manager"" went on vacation before calling my friend back. During these 2 weeks, my friend didn't know that this ""manager"" was on vacation, and left a message usually every other day. At this point in time, I think we all knew the answer was going to be a ""no"", but it had now come down to professionalism and following through on what you say you will do. My friend also left a message at the number that the ""manager"" had called him from. Turns out it was the ""manager's"" personal cell phone. Then, last week, my friend was FINALLY able to speak with this ""manager"" the conversation took an ugly turn. After getting the ""manager"" on the phone, this ""manager"" proceeded to rail at my friend saying that leaving so many messages and ANY on his cell phone was ""offensive"" and then hung up. My feeling is this: For someone in ""management"" the failure to follow up after having said he would within a day is unforgivable...especially in our current economic climate, when people are trying to find decent jobs. And calling my friend ""offensive"" for leaving messages and using his cell phone...well, sir, if you don't want anyone calling you on your PRIVATE number, don't use it to follow up with potential employees...and a text message is NEVER a PROFESSIONAL way to communicate. I think Vita's owner or owners need to take a good look at who they have running their establishment and evaluate the professional practices of the person who makes make or break decisions. No one deserves to be treated that way, and after reading some of the reviews regarding this ""manager"" I'm so happy that my friend wasn't chosen to work here...obviously this ""manager"" treats his staff and customers worse than he treats potential employees. How disappointing.

I moved to Denver last summer and was told Vita had a great roof top patio, which I have frequented many times. But I had always only gone to Vita for wine and cocktails, they have a great Tues night wine special.
Last night I took my girlfriend in for dinner. We started with the scallop appetizer with a black rice risotto, so good!!
For dinner we shared the Blackened Sea Bass and the Strip steak. Both were outstanding, and cooked perfectly.
I was told this is a new menu for the restaurant. If you haven't been into Vita lately I highly recommend checking it out!!

We stopped here while waiting for our table at Lola to open up. After a delicious cocktail we opted to forgo our reservation and tuck into the cuisine here. The drinks were great, but stick to the small plate selections. The short ribs fell apart as expected, but the kitchen couldn't temp salmon even if they had sous vide. The great bartender and gorgeous view in the mirror of the rooftop bar more than made up for it.
