On 3.21.10, Teresa kept answering, then hanging up on me (3x). Then I called a fourth time, as we were really in need of a local taxi ride home, and asked why she had hung up. She hung up again. Maybe she was in a fight with her boyfriend, maybe she hates her job. I don't know but it was terribly unprofessional and I know I can't rely on Union. So I called a fifth time asking to set up a ride, and she hung up a fifth time.
TERRIBLE. UNRELIABLE. UNPROFESSIONAL!
After attempting to get an answer - if a taxi could pick me up within 45 min, because I had already waited over 3 hrs for previous taxi service, I was very rudely spoken to, as well as hung up on after they demanded that I cancel the other taxi. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that the employee had a bad day, so I called again and they refused to answer my question - if it was possible to send a cab within 45 min, and hung up on as I heard rude comments in the background. Now, I would guess there is some drug dependency involved for this severe and quite bizarre reaction. This is not anywhere near a normal reaction for any professional conducting business, or non-professional for that matter. A simple good search resulted in numerous upon numerous traumatized victims who tried to take up business with Union Taxi, as well as complaints of fraud and theft. Most reviews were 1 star, the rest were 5 stars - ALL by names with a very certain cultural background, which seems curious.
I agree that if ZERO stars was an option that is what this company would get. Set up a pick-up way ahead of time and sat around waiting come time to leave. After 10 minutes or so, I called to see what was up and the response was that they didn't have anyone in the area right now but he'd continue my request until someone was if I wanted. AWFUL company.
If I could give them a zero I would. I called Union Taxi at about 8:40 am this morning to request a cab at 9:45 am. (I had to be somewhere by 9:55am.) When I first called they were incredibly slow to take down my information and it sounded like the dispatcher had no clue what she was doing. By 9:51am my cab still had not shown up, so I called them. They picked up and without saying a word placed me on an immediate hold. When they finally came to the line, I gave them my phone number and was told they were still trying to get someone out to me. At that point it was too late, and I ended up just taking the bus and wound up being 20 mins late for my class. I will never call Union again, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.
