This place is great. We have rented trucks from them two times now and the experience is wonderful. Friendly employees, competitive prices and just an all around satisfying experience. Thanks!

Great Place To Rent Almost Anything

I've been going to Taylor's for the past 35 years or so and they've always either had the equipment I have needed or been able to recommend me to someone who does. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable not like the impersonal service you see in so many places these days. I wouldn't hesitate to recomment them to anyone. So much like the old small business of yesteryear when they really cared about the customer.

Taylor?s Rental Center in Lakewood is owned by dishonest people. I went in to rent tables, chairs, and linen table covers for an event at our Church. During the setup of the event, I discovered that the table covers were too short. I immediately called Taylor?s, and they offered to exchange the table covers for longer ones. They offered to come by the Church to drop them off. Since Taylor?s was close by, and we could not afford to waste any time waiting for them, I offered to pick them up. By the time I returned to the Church, we had guests already seated at the tables with food and drink. Since it would have been rude to ask them to get up with their food and drink, while we swapped out the covers, we decided not to replace the existing ones. We returned the exchanged table covers (unopened, and still in their laundry plastic), with the rest of the rented equipment the very next morning. As soon as I walked in to Taylor?s, I noticed that the elderly lady there was not too pleasant. She right away informed me that she would charge me for the extra covers. I was courteous with her, and asked her why I was being charged for something that was not used, and was meant to replace the wrong covers in the first place. She immediately became irate, and told us it was ?bad planning? on our part and that she would charge us the full amount. Once again, I tried to compromise, and informed her that I was willing to pay an acceptable amount for the extra covers, but not the full price as it seemed unfair. She continued to be extremely rude, and even threatened to call the police to have me removed from the premises. To make matters worse, another employee in the store started screaming at me and proceeded to approach me in a threatening manner. At this point, out of sheer disgust and fear, I just asked for the bill, and paid it. Never in my life have I come across such dishonest and rude people. I am glad my children were not in the store that day to witness the debacle.
