The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation works under the Colorado Department of Human Services. It assists individuals whose disabilities result in barriers to employment to succeed at work and live independently. The division offers evaluation and diagnostic services to determine eligibility and services needed for the individual to become employed. With a location in Denver, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation also offers vocational rehabilitation counseling and guidance directly by a vocational rehabilitation counselor during the individual's plan of services. In addition, it provides vocational, academic and personal training, job coaching, and books, tools and other training materials. The division additionally provides specialized services for individuals who are visually and hearing impaired, including interpreter, note-taking and reader services.
