This company is a joke, and the woman answering the phones is beyond rude. I spoke with them several times about having them repair a sprinkler head that they repaired during aeration, and I was repeatedly told that they would take care of it the following day, which never occurred. I called again first thing this morning, and the woman answering the phone yet told me that she wasn't in the office and she would call later. When I called again at 2:30 in the afternoon and expressed my frustration with the multiple delays, I was yelled at repeatedly and essentially told that my issue wasn't important. She was incredibly defensive and had no concept of customer service. This company clearly has no incentive to keep current customers happy. In the future, I will happily pay more for better service.
I had to wait all day for these people as they in no way can leave you a 4 hour window-even though the e-mail stated they would be in my neighborhood that day. Had to call them at 4pm to see if they were coming and was rudely told they work from sunup to sundown they'll be there. So the guy shows up and literally ran this machine on my front-side and backyard in like 7 minutes! What a joke-there are no plugs just thumbnail lenghth dirtballs-speaking of @#$#% this company has none. WARNING don't use these people!
P.S. I just cancelled my check so if they want there money they can take me to court!

I, unfortunately, have dealt with Mile Hi more than once. The first time, my wife took time off work to come home during the agreed time frame to bring our dog in the house. They never showed! Last year, my neighbor had made arrangements with them & asked if I wanted to have my yard done. I reluctantly agreed. Once again, my wife took time off work and this time they showed, although late. They were supposed to do fertilizer & aeration. They didn't speak English, but, when my wife pulled out of the driveway to run an errand, they were able to communicate that they wanted to be paid. She wrote them a check. When I got home from work, I immediately saw that they hadn't done a large portion of the yard. I called & told Chrystal that I expected them back before 5:00 (bank closes at 5:00) that evening to finish & if they didn't show, I would stop payment on the check. If they showed after that, I was going to deduct the stop-payment cost from their payment. They showed up well after 5:00, almost dark & pouring rain. They completed the job & I followed up with a check for $45 ($70-25). I've never heard from them since. So, you can get off their list if you play hardball with them.

Had an appointment scheduled for liquid aeration/fertillization and no one ever showed up! I contacted their offices via email since it was the weekend and was told ""this is not how we do business, can we send someone out tomorrow""? I quickly returned their email asking if they could come out Tuesday, not Monday as I wanted to be home. I did not get a response from their offices for THREE days! What kind of customer care is that? Not accomodating, not responsible and would not recommend! I wish I would have read these reviews before deciding to go with them in the first place, it would have saved me a huge headache!

This company is HORRIBLE!! Don't use them!! You will be sorry!!
I have been trying to repair my lawn for the third year in a row now.
They contaminated my grass with weeds, dandelions, etc. I NEVER had these for the previous 5 years and after using them once, my lawn has been HORRIBLE!
They won't stop calling; they say they'll remove me but they don't.
The best advice is to use someone else.
Hopefully enough people will get this message, they'll go out of business and stop calling us.

I had Mile Hi Aeration aerate my lawn on October 15,2007. During the aeration process they broke one of my sprinkler heads that were clealy marked. I have called several times since and have talked to Crystal to have my sprinkler head fixed and to date they have not come to fix the damages they caused. This is not a company you want to do business with as they take no responsibility for the neglegence of their employees. And yes I will see you in court!

DO NOT USE THIS FARCE OF A COMPANY!!! I used them last year and it took 3 tries for them to actually make it out to aerate. Then whoever showed up raced across the lawn and the advertised ""3-4 inch guaranteed plugs"" were less than an inch. They also broke a sprinkler head I had marked clearly. When I called to rectify it, the call taker called me a liar! She wouldn't even send someone out to look in person to verify my complaint! I wasn't smart when I hired them. I should have checked with the ""other major business consumer watchdog"" and other reviews like this one. PLEASE GO TO SOMEONE ELSE!! Save yourself the hassle and the humiliation of having them take your money and then call you a liar when you call to complain.

I have been useing Mile High for 2 years. This year I was not happy 2007. I scedualed an appointment a week in advance for Thursday April 19 got a auto curtisy call Wednesday April 18th confirming the appointment. Here it is Sunday nothing has been done. I called and they said the same thing some of the other reveiws have stated they had the wrong address but when she read it to me it was right I said it was right she said oh well they spelled Phoenix wrong I said so it still means the same thing. I if they could not find my house they should have called they have the phone number. Also with meusing them for 2 years where in the system how could have been spelled wrong. She said she didn't know what happened but she could rescedual me for Tuesday the 24th I said I should be be on for today or Monday she said Im booked. Thats not my problem I was scedualed befor them. You can pay the over time to them for them to come out here. Im sorry mam we don't do that. I took the appointment we'll see if they show.

I first used them for carpet cleaning and window cleaning. I got my exterior windows cleaned for I believe $35 for the whole house. No complaints, the guy did a great job.
The carpet cleaning was two teenagers with no clue what they were doing. There were stains left that should have come out and there were carpet fibers all over that had been ripped out. I paid next to nothing for the whole house.. I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I'm hiring a professional.
I paid $110 for aeration, fertilizer, and overseed. I wasn't here when they came and they only aerated the front lawn and I saw no evidence that the rear lawn had been done. I called back to get them to do the rear lawn. The guy returned and was finishing as I got home. The rear lawn is partially done and I see no evidence of overseed/fertilizer anywhere. I called and complained about the overseed/fertilizer and was told it's hard to see because it's mixed with topsoil. I don't see topsoil either. I think I was scammed. Also, they keep calling requesting their money with an automated message even though I paid. Probably because I made them come out a second time to finish the job.
I would pay $35 for the aeration alone, and just sit outside and watch the guy do it. That way you know it was done. I'd say it's a good deal, just make sure they do it.
I STRONGLY suggest being home when the lawn service is done, or else I think they just skip it and take the money.

Last year I signed up for aeration and they sent a kid in a t-shirt during a snow storm. He asked me to reschedule. I rescheduled online and they came and aerated. The next week they came back and almost started aerating again, luckily I was home to stop them although it was obvious it had already been done. The man was angry because he thought I had aerated it myself. I am recieving two emails a day that I owe them $35 although I paid one year ago, they will not respond. This company should be avoided.

Mile Hi Aeration is one of the worst company I have ever dealt with. Last year is took them 3 trys to send someone to the house. When they got here they ran out of gas and had to use some of mine. I sent them a bill for the gas and it was never paid. Then they ended up sending a second person that did the same job and it took me all summer to get the automated computer to quit calling me everyday. Now this year 2007 they are sending be automated calls wanting me to sigh up again. Can these people be that clueless on running a business. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE>>
Two weeks ago used Mile Hi Aerating. Aerating, fertilizing and gutter cleaning. The aerating was partiallydone . The fertilizer service is a mixture of dirt with very little fertilizer. Needless to say a waste of money. Their gutter services is non existing, they took the check left under the mat and never performed the service.
Their customer services and website complaint link are worthless. We are out of $115.00 and should consider ourself lucky that no damage was done to any sprinkler heads or gutter like many other customers. NEVER AGAIN. CUSTOMER BEWARE
For the first time I had these suckers aerate my lawn. Paid $35 and they didn't do the job at all. I couldn't find any plugs on the lawn but sure there was the advertisement sign in front of my house. I called the customer service and registered a complaint with a rep named Carole and a supervisor named Crystal( xtn 103) was to call me back. I left Crystal a voicemail later but she has been ""away from her seat"" always . This has been going on for two weeks without a call from them. I am planning to report it to BB of Southern Colorado . Can anyone suggest me more options.
I was the one to blame partly because I didn't check with BB of Southern Colorado before I called the a**h*les at milehigh for their ""BEST SERVICE"". So customers out there, please call BB (go to google and search for aarpelderwatch, go to that website and click on alerts and search for MILE HIGH ) before you make my mistake again.

I have used Mile High for several years .. Until now.. They came to complete an aeration project on Monday of this week. The job was only completed 1/2 way. They said they were unable to get into the back yard. (They have been able to get into the back for the past three years)
The note said unable to complete service. No attempt to come back.
I called Mile High to reschedule I was told all the managers were in a meeting and they could not reschedule a service that has been ""complete"" No return phone call. I was put on hold and disconnected twice. Three days later I tried to call again. Once again all the managers were ""busy? Left a message. Once again no phone call back.
NEVER USE THEM!

Aeration is decent (if they don't damage your sprinklers, from what I read online they don't warranty things like that even though they're their fault) but the additional services are a joke. I ordered the additional ""top dressing, fertilizer and overseeding"" for $60 but when the guy came today to do the service after I asked a few questions I cancelled the entire service as it was clear they were going to be taking me to the cleaners.
Basically Mile Hi provides their people with a little baggy of seed and a little baggy of topdressing/fertilizer mix--Each yard gets one, no matter how large. Also, the fertilizer and topdressing is mixed together, so everyone gets the same treatment, whether you pay for the optional fertilizer or not.
The amounts the guy was going to put on our lawn wouldn't have been enough to make any noticeable difference, and wouldn't have been worth $5 let alone $60.
I'm just glad I didn't have them do the service and then have to fight with them, as online you can find a huge number of complaints about these guys.

Avoid this company at all costs!!! I hired them to come and clean out my gutters. They came out, punctured holes in my front gutter causing $400 worth of damage and left the job. They didn't even bother to clean out the other three gutters on my house. No one would ever return my phone calls and we were given the complete run around by ""Angela"" and ""Crystal"" who patched us in to ""Thad's"" voice mail. No one offered to resolve anything. The sub-contractor who did the damage came out a week later to ""fix"" the job, and proceeded to lean a heavy ladder against our already damaged gutter and then was going to epoxy the holes that he had created. It was unbelievable. My husband had to tell him to stop. He had absolutely NO idea what he was doing. We are taking Mile Hi to small claims court. Anyone have any advice on that one? There seems to be quite a few of us out there. This company bullies the little guy. Their tactics are deplorable and shocking. Anyone up for a class action law suit yet?

I am amazed by all of the rants and raves about this company. I have used Mile Hi aeration since 1987 and since that time I have had no problems. They tell me to mark my sprinkler heads, they advise me to WATER my lawn prior to the appointment day for better results. When I have had them clean my windows, they tell me to remove my screens. They charge a price far far less than I can even rent a machine and do it myself.
I believe the consumer has a responsibility when getting home services done. I saw some complaints about damage to an ""invisible fence"". I had to laugh.... It's invisible.... Why is that Mile Hi's responsibility? FLAG YOUR HEADS, for goodness sake your hiring a company to come and slam steel rods through your grass, FLAG YOUR HEADS. WATER YOUR LAWN. REMOVE YOUR SCREENS, SHUTOFF the water so they can blowout your sprinkler system. Leave a gate unlocked and put your pitbull away so that they can get in and complete your service. I just know that these complaints about not showing up have to do with lack of responsibility on the part of the homeowner.
I have never had an issue, yes some years I have had deeper plugs than other years, but that is because the softness of my turf has varried from year to year. This is not an equipment problem, this is not a customer service problem, this is not a Mile Hi problem.
They dominate their industry unlike any other company I have ever seen. They continue to grow and prosper because they satisfy thousands and thousands of consumers every year. I suppose they figure, if 20 or so people would rather complain than get an issue taken care of so be it.
