Mile Hi Svc
Services: Lawn Maintenance
Scheduled aeriation and seeding last week and was told to flag sprinkler heads and to water the night before. I was told They would be here today between 7-5 at 5 no one had came so my husband called and the rude receptionist. Told him we are not in the computer she could schedule us a week from now. We said no thanks. There are hundreds of other lawn service companies with better customer service that we will spend our $money$ on!!!
I had a scheduled appointment, they cancelled citing snow as the reason yet all the snow is gone and the ground is not frozen at all. They left a message rescheduled for a week later, called back to get it done sooner, they were very rude on the phone and basically said that we were lucky to even get them to come back within a week. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
I paid this company to aerate, fertilize, and overseed my lawn. When they did not actually perform the services I still was charged as they have requested that I leave a check under my front porch. When I called and asked them about this, they told me that they did perform the services and that the seed was just so small that I couldn't see it. I know what seed looks like. They did not seed my lawn. And I paid for it. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, I was hung up on when I asked for a receipt. Apparently they don't give receipts , only invoices. Although they are quick to perform services, the quality is substandard.
I have a large "No Soliciting. Do Not Leave Flyers" sign on the center of my front door. An employee of Mile Hi Services taped their flyer right on top of this sign - intentionally disrespecting the request. They also left a doorknob hanging flyer for their related business Mile Hi Air Duct Cleaning. I will never do business with a company that completely disrespects my property and privacy.

Mile Hi Saved my Lawn, they rock. Here is my Story.
I wanted to post here and talk about my experience with them. I had recently moved into a new house late last summer and the yard was a disaster. Mile hi had done a neighbors yard and I said sure what the heck and let them come out. They told me everything I should do with my yard to bring it back to life. I met with Mike and his assistant (cant remember his name) and they started with aeration and then told me exactly what to do in the coming months in order to get a good growth in the spring of 2012. I did what they said at the time which was aerate, fertilize and seed. I took their word for it. I heard the whole pitch about how aeration helps loosen compacted soil, allows air and good nutrients to get into the root system blah blah blah. I really had nowhere to start from because the home was bank owned so the yard went to crap while it sat there for 9 months. I was a little hesitant but my neighbor used them and said they were all good and I saw their work first hand. I did not measure any plugs to see how long they were but I saw a ton of them, so that must be a good thing. I had mega weeds (which I used that scotts stuff to kill that actually worked) and their advice with their products. I took the plunge because my only other option was to literally tear up the whole yard and then lay down new sod. The price tag on that for a 4500 sq ft lawn came in right around $4,400.00 which almost made my puke. I had a pit in my stomach and when they told me there was a way to save my lawn I felt better and simply took their advice, hoping I could spend that money on building out my basement. I did also bounce their recommendations after I did off other professionals who all said that was the right thing to do. Everyone somewhat had some variations of opinion as to what would be the best but they all centered around the same core executables (aerating, fertilizers, seeding etc). Some people thought some products were better than others, yadda yadda yadda whatever. Everyone is a critic right?
So, fast forward…about 3 weeks went by and I did not see much progress and was kinda ticked off. I called and got a customer service rep and she put me over to crystal. She looked me up and then asked me a few questions about what I was doing after they left. It turned out I was watering at the wrong time. I changed my watering schedule to nights and early mornings. A week later I saw a noticeable difference so I was happy. Then it was coming on colder temps and with what I saw I was satisfied to wait through fall and winter until spring to again see how my lawn turned out based on their work and their advice.
I forgot it about it until my phone rang in early march asking if I wanted aeration. I again took their advice with multiple treatments ( I fertilized again and got the liquid stuff they offer with aeration). Since it was spring I went overboard and ordered the whole buffet because I wanted my yard to be fixed. I certainly spent the money.
They came out as promised, did all they said they would and left. I again confirmed more questions with the guys about watering and other care tips and they were very helpful. This was early march. My lawn now looks awesome. I am kicking myself up and down for not taking a “before” picture, just so I could show the after picture. I have no regrets using them, they totally took care of me and fixed what I considered at the time to be a whole new sod project. Thanks again Mike and Mile hi.

They get 4.5 stars!?!? Look into a few of the people that rated them at a 5 and you will see that they all give 4-7 companies 5 stars and all write similar reviews. It's a scam! I didnt notice this before I ordered their services so I thought, ok, lets ignore all 44 negative google reviews (not smart on my part) and give them a chance, they cant be that bad. Well I was wrong. They spent all of 4 minutes, walked around my yard with a sprayer that supposedly contains seed, fertilizer, weed killer and ""liquid aeration."" Of course they did nothing at all. I called to complain a few days later, experienced a very mean manager on the phone however she said they would have someone do the traditional plugs so I can see it. Well they did that, it looked like a kid wearing soccer cleats walked around my yard. The plugs were about 1/2 inch and so sparse I could not believe it. I ended up paying half their fee after another 15 minute talk with a very mean manager that is obviously use to having these types of conversations. She agreed to me paying half for the service which would be an ok deal if they accomplished anything at all. Best part, I got a call the next day from someone else at their company wanting to clean my air ducts! I canâ??t believe they are still in business

2010 - I hired them for an aeration. I saw a truck roll up, put a sign in my yard, and just left! I called the company, they came back and did what they said was the 2nd time. Very poor coverage. The majority of the liquid aeration just blew away.
2011 - Hired the company again. A guy showed up, and said ""Just call and cancel. I'll do it for $50."" Very shady, but I took the cheaper route anyway.
2012 - Again, a truck pulls up, puts a sign in the yard, a hanger on the door, and no aeration was done whatsoever. I called and said to kill the bill, that ""3 strikes, and you're out.""
They wanted to come by again, but I just don't trust this company to have on my property again. The manager there, Crystal, is a nightmare! She is extremely rude and combatative. If you have a problem with the service, she just claims you are ""trying to get out of your bill"".
I've opened a case with the BBB, among the 500 from other people. Even with the BBB case, they are responding like I'm crazy. They can take me to court if they want the money they are charging for a service I never received. BEWARE!

NOT RECOMMENDED! I scheduled a sprinkler blowout with Mile Hi Service and they never showed up. I even called mid day to confirm they were still coming and the person who answered the phone assured me that the services tech would be there before dark. Dark came and I heard nothing so I called back again and the person on the phone looked up my account and said no tech had been assigned to my job. How can I schedule AND confirm and they still get it wrong? I'm not sure if the company simply has a flawed scheduling processes or poor communication but there are too many quality companies in town to deal with a company like this. Take your business elsewhere.
