I love this place!

My co-worker kept talking about this pizza joint, and we went out for lunch one day. I got a spinach pizza, which is also known as white pizza, and a veggie pizza. They both are fabulous! Ever since then, I have been going there whenever I crave for pizza. You can order by a slice or a whole. I recomment ordering by a slice because when you order by a slice, they bake it twice which makes the pizza crispier. Their crust is pretty thin, but one slice usually fills me up. When I am very very hungry, then I order two slices. They also have other stuff, such as salad, gyros, meat ball spaghetti, etc, which I have never tried. I always order pizza.

My neighborhood pizza joint

Good prize, good pizza. Across from liquor store, making your pizza and beer night an easy reality. Calling ahead and picking up is the way to go. I'm off to pick up mine now.

Not so Hot

this place is totaly h!t or mis. I have been there a number of time and it seems like the quality of the pizza that they serve on loaction is better then the delivery. Despite the negative attributes, if you like NY style pizza this is one of the only places that comes close sometimes. Save yourself the time and get a real pie form Anthonys.

Very Good, Great Sauce

I go here all the time, I live about 4 blocks away. And most of the time I go to pick it up. I usually get mushroom, onion, and bell pepper. I like the veggie topping better than the standard pep. Big slices, very very good sauce, and is priced fairly. They have a two slice, salad, and drink deal for $7 bucks I think, but I have never got it so I can't tell you how the heated up pizza is like for lunch.

Watch out!! Famous Pizza are theifs!

Two weeks ago I ordered a pizza from Famous using my debit card, less than a week later three unauthorized charges two of which were from their restaurant posted to my account. I called the restaurant asking to speak to a manager and was told she was to busy to speak to me. The very unhelpful employee who did speak to me told me that they have no way of protecting their customers credit or debit card numbers because they simply write your number down on a piece of paper, do not shread the paper when finished, leaving your personal information open for fraud. I was astounded that an employee would actually admit something so terrible and even more angry when he told me that it was my job to scratch out the number on the paper that I recieved when my pizza was delivered. I will never order a pizza from Famous ever again and I would issue caution to those of you who do!

Average pizza with defaults - ask for extras

I ordered a regular sausage pizza for delivery. It was delivered in a timely manner. I would have like to have seen more sausage on the pizza - it was kind of sparse and didnt have much flavor. Also, the pizza needed more sauce. I would suggest asking for extra toppings and extra sauce. I think I would order from them again with those specifications.

Rip off!

I was so dissapointed when I first went to Famous Pizza on the corner of Bayaud and Broadway. The pizza wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. The prices were RIDICULOUS for what you get and they charge EXTRA for everything. I wanted a coke refill and had to pay for it. If you wanted extra dressing for your salad, you had to pay. I thought they were going to charge me for napkins too. The staff is not very nice either. They have sort of a ""you are not worthy of my service"" attitude. I hate this place and will never go back... which is such a shame because I live in the neighborhood and would gladly visit weekly if it was a better value.

Great office lunch

I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best pizza in Denver, but it was definitely tasty. Good tasting crust, and very generous with the cheese and toppings. We ordered 2 pizzas for an office lunch, and the pepperoni and the mushroom/green pepper pizzas went over very well. Delivery time was reasonable - about a 1/2 hour, but it wasn't at a busy time (around 2:30pm). Very filling - no one could eat more than 2 slices, and we were all stuffed! I would certainly order from them again!

Famous on Broadway

Don't mix this Famous Pizza up with the one on Colfax. THIS Famous lives up to it's name. Really good New York style pizza - the best I've had in Denver. Nice thin crunchy crust, not too greasy. Great location, especially if you're doing the Broadway thrift store crawl. They also deliver - give them a call if you're craving the real thing.
