The relaxed atmosphere of this place is one of the reasons why I am so frequent here. I can just go and have the most relaxed night I will ever have in a whole week here. The booze really helps to drown it down.

Great staff

Great staff providing great services. I enjoy everything here. .

Best place for great beer.

Falling Rock is one place in whole of Denver that offers the best selection of good beer and it's always changing. The food served is pretty good. They also have pool and darts, with occasional live music and off course Happy hours.

This place has the worst service and the most prejudice staff in Denver. Very Rude staff!!!

Good beer, rude staff

While the beer here is great, do not come less than fully able bodied. The wait staff is highly intolerant of those that don't move fast enough to suit them.\n\nThe recessed patio is a nice break from the rest of LoDo and the downstairs area is comfortable, akin to a family basement.

Avoid this place at all costs

I've been to this bar several times over the past few years and things seemed okay (not great, just okay). But I was there on Saturday 7/25/09 from noon until 1:30 with a bunch of friends and we were not just treated rudely, as other reviewers have stated, we were treated with absolute disdain. The waitress was literally throwing plates of food on our table and the bartender acted as if we were vermin in need of extermination. We left and went across the street to a friendly bar with a competent and engaging wait staff. My friends and I will never set foot in this place again nor will any of our friends or relatives. These guys should be out of business soon if they are treating all their customers this rudely.

What an awful place

You can serve me good beer and tasty food all nite long, but if the service is terrible and the attitude is rude, I will not have fun. This place does not seem to understand that. I have tried this place twice and both times were horrible. The bartenders on both visits were rude. We seemed to have the incredible vanishing waitress and the bartender would not serve us while seated at a table....even if paying cash at the bar for the drinks to bring back to the table. In this economy, unless they change their ways, I have no idea how this place will remain open. Too many other nice places in LODO to spend my money.\n\nNo more chances for this place from me and I will make sure my friends know to avoid this place too.

Mecca for Good Beer Lovers

I'll keep it simple - if you like good beer, you will like Falling Rock. It's a no frills atmosphere with a nice beer selection, and a far cry away from the meat market bars it shares a general area with.

It really pains me to have to do this...

...but I finally have to issue a review, and I'm afraid it ain't good. Let me begin by saying I've been a BIG fan of this bar and its beer selection for over seven years and have had many good times there. HOWEVER, it's no secret that the place has clearly gone downhill over the last couple of years. Like a lot of other reviews mention, the service here has become surly at best, non-existent at worst. The perception on the street is that if you happen to know someone who works here (as I'm lucky enough to) then chances are you'll receive great service. If not, well, there's no telling what you'll get. It's completely hit-and-miss, and I've witnessed servers and bartenders being downright rude and mean to patrons on more than one occasion. And maybe this is just me and my weird luck, but it seems like the last few times I've been in there I've had to pick three different beers off the menu before they actually had one that was available. \n\nIf the owner happens to read this, please PLEASE do something before I and a lot of other people finally just give up on this place. It's a shame to see something you love turn into something awful.
