Absolute worst doggie day care I have ever used. On two separate visits my dogs have been injured. Just today, after only being in their care for 90 minutes, my dog go a HUGE gash in his body so deep that you could almost see his rib. They had no explanation for what caused it which tells me they obviously don't do their job and watch our dogs and/or they have too many dogs in there at once to truly take care of them properly. The indifference I experienced with the staff and manager was inexcusable. Pointing to the fact that you sign a waiver is not the way you apologize for something like this happening. They said ""this rarely happens"" which is a joke since this same thing happened to BOTH my dogs. Shame on me for trusting them again after they let my first dog get hurt. They did tell me on both occasions that it was likely a part on the fence that sticks out and that it probably cut them. Given the fact that they gave me this same excuse over a year and a half ago and they have STILL not done anything to remedy this fence situation makes them guilty of NEGLECT. I know the president of the Better Business Bureau in Denver and I plan to tell him all about this. If there are any codes that have to be followed for doggie day care facilities then Dog Topia is certainly in violation of several. Don't take your dogs there if you care about them because you may end up picking them up with a huge hole in the side of their body. And if that happens don't expect anything from the owner or manager except a bunch of excuse and finger pointing at the waiver you signed. Social Media is a wonderful thing and they are naive to think that this stuff doesn't spread quickly. I've already heard from one friend that had a similar experience and is now taking her dogs to City Bark. I take my dogs to Camp Bow Wow for sleepovers and i have NEVER had any trouble there. Ther only reason I WENT to Dog Topia is because the location is convenient. But I'll never make that mistake again.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. I had to listen to my poor retired racing greyhound, Brodie, get his skin stapled at the vet to fix the wound. It will take at least 4 weeks to heal and he is on two medications for the pain. All I wanted for him was a fun day to play with other dog and instead ended up wounded and now unable to play.
All you dog lovers out there- please read reviews and think twice about leaving your loved ones there. Camp Bow Wow on Jasmine and Evans is wonderful and safe. The owner of Dog Topia should be ashamed of the way she manages her business.

This is such a great place to have your pets while you are gone. The staff that they have takes great care of your pets and is extremely friendly when you arrive. They really do let them play during the day care session and the boarding is excellent. When we picked our dogs up it seemed they did not want to leave being that they were having so much fun. They also give you a great review of how your dog’s did and behaved during the visit. The rates are very reasonable and the service is great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a friendly environment for their pets.

Dogtopia has fouled up twice with me (in 3 interactions with them) and has lost my business for good. The first time, I was dropping my dog off at 6:30 AM to catch an 8:05 flight. I got there at 6:20 thinking I may even be able to drop him off a little early but ended up waiting for 40 minutes and missing my flight as a result. Great way to start a vacation.
The next instance was even more frustrating. I was on vacation and my girlfriend was still home but planning to leave on a Wednesday. We had arranged to drop the dog off on Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday morning I got a call from my neighbor that my house had been broken into. I called Dogtopia to explain that my house had been burglarized and my girlfriend was putting her trip on hold so we would no longer need their help. Expecting some compassion, especially considering how they had screwed me over previously, I was told that there was a 48 hour cancellation policy and we would have to pay for half of the dog's stay. I understand the policy, but I was hoping that 3 days before christmas we would maybe catch a break after being ROBBED of our stuff. I asked about a waiting list and she just brushed that off and told me that there was no way they would be able to fill the space.
A 48 hour cancellation policy is BS. Most doctors offices don't require 48 hours. We were charged $75 to a credit card that we did not authorize to have on file for, presumably, half of what we were supposed to be paying for the dog's stay (4 nights x $32 per night = $128. Where do you get $75 from??)
Overcharged, undersatisfied. I think this place is in business to take advantage of all of the Wash Park dog owners that want a convenient place to kennel their dogs rather than to provide professional and courteous care for people that trust them with their pets.
If i could give them 0 stars I would.

I have worked at Dog-Topia (341 S. Broadway) for 3.5 years and have maintained the highest respect for the whole Dog-Topia crew. It is a joy to develop relationships with the dogs and their owners and to care for animals in such a unique way. Where else do you hang out with 50 dogs that are off-leash and away from their owners? Its wonderful, its crazy, and we do our best to keep it at controlled chaos so that the pups are having fun but no toes get stepped on.
The majority of Dog-Topia employees have been there for 2 years and counting which testifies to the great work environment and our love of the dogs. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

I have been a loyal customer to Dog-Topia since they opened there doors and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the services and staff. My dogs, like another reviewer, are like my children. I would never leave them at a facility where I even sense the chance of harm and that is exactly what I love about Dog-Topia, I feel as though they are being left with family. I also have used the daycare and boarding and have been very pleased with both. If you are thinking about doggie daycare, look no further, Dog-Topia is just what you are looking for. I also love the new addition of food and treats for sale..what a one stop shop!!!!

I have been to an assortment of dog daycares in Denver but Dog Topia is my dogs home away from home. Going for over a year now my dog jumps at the words ""DOGTOPIA"" and can barely contain his excitement when we are blocks away! I love that every time i come in my dog and i are both personally greeted and cared for. The staff even recognizes little things including new collars or a trip to the groomer, at pick up time they even recognize my car when i pull up and my dog is ready waiting for me. Dog-Topia's competitive pricing, loving staff, and ample play area keep me comming back, and now i would never consider anyone else. I have also had wonderful boarding experience and recommend them to anyone else who is interested in daycare/boarding services!

I have been taking my dog here for over a year. She loves it!!! She plays with the staff and other dogs, and is totally zonked when I pick her up. I come in once in a while to kind of spy on her to make sure she's ok...and I've never seen any issues at all. I've boarded her there for several days/nights, and she comes back in the same condition she was before--happy and healthy--she's never been sick (as is the outcome of some stays at the kennel).
The staff is great, too. They are always friendly, and take an interest in every dog who comes in--they know them by name and are truly happy to see the dogs.
My dog is like a daughter to me--my own kid--so believe me, I would only send her somewhere I feel confident she is well cared for, and played with throughout the day while I'm at work. Plus, she's a Sheltie, and they can be shy and skiddish. But, she fits right in with the other dogs, and she's excited to see any member of the staff.
Their prices are competitive, and I have personally seen them clean the doggie areas. I have taken my dog to several places, and she and I really like Dog-Topia.

I have two standard poodles that have gone to a variety of doggy daycares. I started taking them to Dog-topia because of the location, even though I read a couple bad reviews. The last time I picked up my dogs, one of them had an anti-barking citronella collar on him. The staffer told me they had used this before on my dog - but no one had ever told me. My dog has sensitive eyes and the collar was going off not only when he barked, but when every other dog barked. I have tried to discuss this with the manager but to no avail. They told me the waiver allowed them to use the collar on my dog - but I would have assumed they would tell me. There is a reason this facility does not have cameras! Do not leave your dogs here - there are so many other high-quality establishments in town. Why take them to someplace that uses harsh traning methods without your knowledge or permission? I will never take my dogs back.
